Movement is dirty and there are finger prints on side of plates. The escapement is clean and moves but we are unable to say if the whole movement is in working order. Screw-head on gong mount damaged. Enamel dial is undamaged but the alarm hand is bent. Case is in poor condition - all the gilding has gone and top handle has been broken off at the mounts and is missing

Rectangular strap fitting recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme with reference number LIN-EDEC96; accompanied by a print out of the PAS report 99 grams total, 13-46mm (1/2 - 1 3/4").
