A French 19th century boulle and tortoiseshell mantel clock, with eight day striking movement by Japy Freres, the gilt brass face with navy blue Roman numerals on white enamel lozenges, with figural surmount, raised on four scroll feet, with key and sun burst mask pendulum, a/f suspension link damaged, 23 by 13 by 41cm high. A set of six Chinese cloisonne tiles, late 19th / early 20th century, each of rounded rectangular form, to be viewed together showing the different stages of production or manufacture of cloisonne enamel, from plain metal plate, wire pattern of two butterflies amongst flowers being attached, enamels added, heated and fired, then finally ground and polished, some with paper labelled attached verso describing the process, each 9 by 7.5cm.
