At 3 o'clock there is a surface scratch or hair crack to the enamel visible under a loupe. I really cannot tell if this is a scratch or a crack. Above the hair to the reverse is a thin gilt wire that appears to spell 'Fred 1902'

Ebony lifting throughout. All decoration painted, not inlaid. Gilt metal mounts intact but very dull. Panel door inlaid with brass and the seat also brass inlaid. Leg mounts at the back loose. Clock not in working order. Escapement damaged, not original winder.

In intermittent working order. Both going and striking chain. Half hour striking. Case in tired condition with some brass lifting. Tortoiseshell bleached in places. Segmented dial with one number (12) poorly repaired.
