Late 19th Century French boulle work mantel clock with enamel dial. French movement striking on bell, ornate red tortoiseshell and gilt brass case. Key and sunburst pendulum present, sold with letter from Arthur Negus regarding the clock and related ephemera, 37cm high CONDITION REPORT General overall condition good. Movement is clean and as far as we are aware in working order. Dial has tiny hairline cracks in the centre at 3 o'clock and some minor surface damage above right hand side winding hole. Case is dirty. Metalware is tarnished and lifting in places. Boullework has some losses and a split on the right hand side
Good quality French repeating alarm carriage clock with Grand Sonnerie/Silence/Petite Sonnerie lever to base, white enamel dial with subsidiary dial in brass case with repeat button, 18cm high, key present CONDITION REPORT General overall condition . Movement is clean and appears to go. Platform escapement possibly replaced. Strike is out of sequence. Lever movement from Grand de Petit Sonnerce does not work easily. Serial No. on backplate 2213. Dial is in good condition, no damage. Gilt metal case slightly worn
Attributed WW2 Chindits Insignia Grouping, consisting of large embroidered formation type insignia in the form of the yellow Burmese dragon on black circular cloth, embroidered white on blue cloth shoulder title and white metal with enamel sections theatre made identity bracelet engraved “875488 E G EDWARDS”. Set remains in good condition. (3 items)
WW2 German Cross in Gold (Deutsches Kreuz) Steinhauer & Luck Ludenscheid Type, very good example of the award which has the characteristics of the type made by the firm and often found on the award sample boards. Four rivet fittings to the reverse of the award. Unmarked pin and catch fixing to the reverse. Enamel swastika is in very good condition and much of the finish remains to the award.
Third Reich Model 1933 SS Enlisted Mans Dress Dagger by Herder, black ebony grip retaining eagle and enamel SS runes devices. Lower guard crudely engraved to the reverse with the number “495892”. Housed in its original scabbard with both mounts and short pattern leather hanger. The blade etched with motto “Meine Ehre heist Treue” and remains in very good condition with much of the original polish. Reverse of the blade has the makers trade mark. The blade measures 22cms, overall 37 ¾ cms. Some wear to the exterior with a small chip to the grip near the enamel runes.
Third Reich Cased Eagle Order 2nd Class Breast Order by Godet Berlin, fine example of the gilt and enamel breast order with out swords. White central cross with gilt downward winged NSDAP style eagles with white enamel backing to the gilt swastikas. Award is complete with its original pin and catch fixing. The pin is stamped 900 and 21 for the maker Godet of Berlin. Award is housed in its original red leatherette case with black velvet lining, white satin interior lid with gilt tooled details of the awar. Lid of the case with finely gilt tooled eagle and swastika and gilt tooled border. Box complete with the original catch fixing and rear covering over the hinge. Overall a very good example of a high grade Third Reich award.
3x Royal Marines Helmet Plates, consisting of kings crown officers example with blue enamel centre and separate silvered globe; 2x kings crown Bandsman plates, one with white metal rose (Chatham Division) and one with George V cipher (Royal Marines Artillery Band and Portsmouth band 1923-52). All with lug fittings to the reverse and remaining in good condition. (3 items)

Housed in its original scabbard with leather belt loop hanger. Used blade with makers trade mark to the reverse. The blade measures 12 ½ cms, overall 25cms. Scabbard possibly re-painted.
Imperial German Senior NCO’s Garde du Korps Helmet, tombak shell with officers style cockades, scaled chinstraps and central garde helmet without enamel to the centre. Complete with its eagle top. Domed rivets to the lobster tail. Interior with enlisted ranks pattern leather liner. Green underside to the front peak and black to the underside of the rear. Stamped on the front peak trim “C E JUNCKER”. Helmet has some areas of restoration.
Third Reich Model 1933 SS Enlisted Mans Dress Dagger by E Pack & Sohne, black ebony grip fitted with metal eagle and enamel SS runes. Nickel silver cross guard and top mount. Housed in its original scabbard with much of the anodised finish remaining. Attached to the scabbard is the short leather hanger with the clip stamped RZM M5/8. Blade remains in very good condition having deep etched motto “Meine Ehre heist Treue” in gothic script and the reverse side with RZM 1211/39 and SS runes, this RZM code being that for the maker E Pack & Sohne. Much of the cross graining remains to the blade with just minor finger marks. Blade measures 22cms, overall 37 ½ cms.
Rare Victorian Post 1881 Gloucestershire Regiment Officers Forage Cap Badge, fine example of the gilt metal arms of the city of Gloucester with red enamel, four part scroll with regimental details within, surmounted by sphinx on “EGYPT” tablet set within laurel spray. Two lug fittings to the reverse. Much of the gilt wash finish remains to the badge, excellent example.
Rare Officers Pickelhaube for Baden Lieb Grenadier Regiment Nr 109, superb example officers pattern helmet with silvered Baden officers helmet plate having starburst with gilt and enamel centre in the form of the House Order of Fidelity. Officers pattern national and non-serrated pattern state cockades. Leather backed brass chin scales. Circular silver mount spike base with gilt metal securing stars and officers pattern spike. Interior of the helmet with leather sweatband and officers pattern cloth lining. The helmet is housed in the original storage carry case with stud fittings to the lower section. Interior of the case with retailers label for J Robrecht of Berlin. A superb example of a very rare officers helmet.
Bavarian Adjutant Generals Pickelhaube with Parade Plume, fine untouched example of a Bavarian Adjutant General’s pickelhaube with gilt metal Bavarian helmet plate having enamel coat of arms set to the centre of the plate. Helmet is complete with the original officers state and national cockades. Officers gilt metal scaled chinstraps. Bavarian pattern cruciform spike base with original parade plume fitted. The plume is of feathers in white and dyed blue to resemble the state colours of Bavaria. Interior of the helmet with the original leather sweatband and officers style lining. Small area of enamel repair to the plate but otherwise a very fine untouched example. Housed in the original large storage box.

The award is maker marked to the reverse “G.BREHMER MARKNEUKIRCHEN”. Complete with the original pin and catch fixing. Housed in its original red card box of issue with internal securing card. Very fine example.
Elizabeth II Royal Horse Guards Officers Helmet, fine early post 1953 example, white metal shell with fine officers gilt metal helmet plate having silvered central star with enamel garter. Leather backed linked chinstrap and gilt metal large side rosettes. Complete with the original red horse hair plume with gilt metal rosette to the top. Leather covering to the underside of the front and rear peak. Officers pattern chamois lining to the interior. Helmet is housed in its original metal storage tin with stencilled name to the lid, “J L COLES”. Helmet remains in excellent condition overall.

Double edged blade with etched motto “Meine Ehre heist Treue” in gothic script. Reverse of the blade with E P & S Solingen makers trade mark. Blade shows surface wear and some pitting to the lower part. Blade 22cms, overall 37cms.
WW1 British 31st Division “Battle Badge”, being the white rose of Yorkshire and the red rose of Lancashire within green enamel wreath. Two lug fittings to the reverse of the award. The 31st division was made up of men from Yorkshire and Lancashire. The badge was issued for wear from July 1917 and was worn in recognition of the men of the regiment who had fought bravely during the conflict so far.
