Enamel Sign Miscellany, qty 5 to include:- British Railways Danger Don`t Touch Conductor Rails, 20" x 12½" excellent; LT No Entry, F/F 15" x 14" blue on white; Signal Engineers Emergency Telephone, 19" x 9"; Aux Fire Station with arrow, 24½" x 12" white on black, some damage; London Brick Company 18" x 9".
London Transport enamel Target signs, a pair, SOUTH RUISLIP measuring 18¾" x 16¾" in original bronze frame and mounted on original wooden frame for platform fixing. Unusual size, used over 40 years ago when the station was refurbished and the large targets were taken down temporarily. These were fitted as a stop gap and as soon as the station was complete, the original signs were re-erected and all these were thrown in the skip, except these two of course.
Enamel Bus Sign `Buses Stop By Request` white on blue measuring 18" x 13", excellent condition. Together with a 20" diameter enamel `Buses To City Stop Here By Request`, blue on white double sided, ex Birmingham Corporation, excellent condition. Finally x2 identical Birmingham City Corporation enamel `half moon` signs, Fare Stage Queue 2 Deep signs, double sided 17" x 7" white on red.
Wooden Destination Board with 13 chocolate & cream enamel indicators. The top is painted `Next Train For Broad Street` and beneath are the destinations. The first is red enamel and states `Not Stopping At` followed by the following:- Brondesbury Park; Brondesbury; West End Lane; Finchley Road; Hampstead Heath; Gospel Oak; Kentish Town; Camden Town; Barnsby; Highbury; Cannonbury; Dalsto. Overall measurements 29" x 28". Excellent condition.

All are in exceptional condition.
A box of 12 Tilley Lamp Globes, each 3â…œ" diameter x 3¾" tall. The box is original and bears a label `To PW Section Supervisor Eng Dept Llandrindod Wells, Western Region. Together with a hanging type Tilley Lamp with enamel hood and also together with x3 other Tilley Lamps and a quantity of spare Vaporisers and other associated items. Ex Llandridnod Wells.
North Eastern Railway 8-inch oak cased iron dial clock with a cast brass bezel manufactured for the NER by Reid & Son of Newcastle upon Tyne circa 1870. The quality early English fusee movement in fully overhauled condition has rectangular plates with shaped shoulders, which are held together by turned barrelled pillars with a central ring, the suspension back cock is also shaped, all of these features point to a movement made in the period 1860 to 1870. The White enamel painted dial rewritten by British Railways Doncaster clock repair works displaying bold Roman numerals and the legend BR 5399. The case is a traditional English drop dial clock case manufactured out of fine figured oak with a turned convex surround affixed to the back box by two battens with three tapered pegs, the back box is of traditional Mid-19th century design with one side access door and a bottom door secured by a brass turn, the side door also still retains some of the original Reid repair numbers. The LNER records show that this clock was last located at Newcastle Dist. Estate Agent Drawing Office at Clavering House, the records also show that this clock was NER number 322 and this number is stamped into the top of the back box. A nice clock that look to have been cleaned and serviced recently, In working condition complete with pendulum and key.
A pair of Midland Railway Block Instruments, one a Pegger, the other a non-Pegger. Both have the usual enamel dials which are in excellent condition, and both are stamped on the roof `MR Co` twice. The accompanying receipts from BR show that these were definitely ex Bath Green Park Signal Box.
British Transport Police Badges, qty 3 comprising: Large Helmet Badge with black star and crown surround, lion-over-wheel centre on a circular middle with full title; a similar Capbadge, no black star & crown as base; a similar with a circle of blue enamel containing the title. All in mint condition.
GWR enamel Sign `G.W.R. Danger - This Building Contains Highly Inflammable Stores - No Naked Light Allowed Inside - No Person Under Sixteen May Enter - No Unauthorised Person May Handle Contents. In Case Of Fire etc..etc. Measures 14" x 10" being great rarity in virtually mint condition. Together with a red on white enamel Fire Exit sign, 15" x 5" with one small repair bottom edge.
