A vintage American shop fitting weighing scales by Computing Scale Company of Dayton Ohio, early 20th century, painted metal, chrome and enamel, 75cm high. In 1891, Edward Canby and Orange O. Ozias, two businessmen from Dayton, purchased the patents for the newly invented computing scale and incorporated the Computing Scale Company to produce commercial scales. The business became part of the Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company formed in 1911 and then an IBM division in 1933. The Dayton Scale Division was eventually sold to the Hobart Manufacturing Company when IBM decided to stop marketing scales to retail stores.
Three famille rose plates, decorated with flowers and insects against a celadon ground, 25cm diameter, with eleven smaller plates, 19.5cm, a Chinese export porcelain blue and white plate and a Korean saucer dish (Qty) (at fault) CONDITION REPORT: Kangxi korean market plate - Eight chips to the rim with further noticeable chips and nibbles. Enamel wear and surface scratches. Pitted. Chips to the foot rim. Fritting visible. Blue & White- Four very small nicks to the rim. Foot rim chipped. Pitted underside. Surface stains and scratching. Celadon plates- Hairline cracks, chips, grazes and surface abrasions visible throughout.

Underglaze small firing cracks surrounding lugs. Glaze drips to interior. Some pitting. Exterior grubby. Miniature teapot- Enamel wear to exterior. Firing cracks visible. Thick glaze. Grubby and stained. Cover rim chipped. Pitted. Teacup and saucer- Some enamel wear and bubbling. Gilt wear visible. Firing crack to underside of saucer and further firing cracks to teacup handle and underside. Pitting. Matte glaze to teacup. Yellow lozenge tray- Unglazed foot rim. Visible pit to surface. Enamel wear. Pitted to rim and underside. Yixing- Generally grubby - see images. Terracotta- Hairlines running through body and losses to feet. Generally grubby. Surface grazes and blemishes. A large Chinese porcelain tureen and cover, 19th century, the ovoid shaped tureen externally decorated in famille rose enamels against a verte ground depicting floral sprays, the cover similarly decorated with eight Buddhist symbols, bajixiang, with wire swing handles, 22cm high CONDITION REPORT: Gilt wear to rims and high points. Enamel scratches and wear with some glaze pooling and bubbling visible. Un-glazed bowl rim and cover rim. Small dirtied nick to inner rim of cover. Small glaze chip to bowl rim. Small chips and grazes to the zoomorphic lugs. Pitting to the exterior, interior and underside. Unglazed foot rim. Surface scratching to exterior. Gilt wear to basket weave rims. Some light general enamel and surface wear.
Seven Chinese porcelain millefleur plates, Guangxu six character marks, each circular plate decorated with a millefiori design within lobed rims, 21cm diameter with a famille jaune teapot and cover and six tea bowls and four further Chinese teacups and saucers (23) (at fault) CONDITION REPORT: Each plate with general surface scratches and enamel wear. 2x chips to rim.2x rim descending hairline cracks.
A Victorian silver cased miniature time piece, London 1897, the case with profusely embossed scrolling flowers and foliage and case, scroll handle, enclosing white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, movement signed 'French Movement', initialled 'M.N.L', 9.5cm high CONDITION REPORT: Movement not currently functioning and is secured to the silver case by two screw bolts to the underside. Case would benefit from a clean. Dial grubby. Tip of minute hand bent. Overall appearance slightly tired.
A 19th century French Louis XV style Boulle work bracket clock, brass inlaid tortoiseshell, with enamel Roman numeral panels and movement striking on a gong, the Mougin movement stamped with overlaid initials SH, with a Boulle work wall bracket (attention needed), clock 66cm (size is the clock only) CONDITION REPORT: The clock is not in working order. Restoration needed to the case and the movement.
A French Art Nouveau mantel clock, the bronzed case with scroll base and figural floral casting enclosing an Arabic numeral dial with painted swags, movement for 'F.Marti' numbered '3561', 41.5cm high CONDITION REPORT: Metal surface throughout grubby and with some light tarnishing. General age wear patina throughout. The enamel dial with chips around the winding aperture. No pendulum or key. Signed to the back of the case. Old repair to the bottom of the case at the back. Overall fair.
