A 19th century French gilt bronze Rococo Revival mantel clock, the whole surmounted with a musical cherub above a convex white enamel dial with Arabic and Roman numerals, twin winding holes for a French brass eight day cylinder movement striking on a bell, the balloon shaped swept case further adorned with instruments and song book, having fret cut side panels (with pendulum and winding key) h.43cm.Something appears to be missing from putti’s hand.Enamel good overall, some minor marks only.Case generally intact.Glass to reverse intact.Some cracks to the back legs.Untested and probably requires a service.No glass dome.

An Ormolu Striking Mantel Clock, circa 1880, surmounted by a winged cherub, acanthus leaf decorated base, enamel dial with Roman numerals, twin barrel movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, 35cm high 10.12.19 Ormolu is slightly faded in parts, dial with chips around the winding holes and have been touched up and signs of old repair, movement is complete, with pendulum.
