A Diamond and Enamel Set Brooch, in the form of a racehorse and jockey, by Alabaster & Wilson (Est. 1987), yellow and gold coloured metal set with brilliant cut white diamonds and small red faceted stones within enamel work, 55mm x 35mm All the stones are present and securely set and appear to have all claws present. Enamel work presents in good condition, the piece shows wear commensurate with age and very light usage. There is no obvious sign of previous damage or repair and the clasp functions correctly. Prospective bidders are advised to study all images closely prior to bidding as the images form part of the condition report We are not weighing the diamonds it is part of a set, therefore it is not practical the weigh the diamonds. We are not qualified to grade stones.
An 18ct Gold Half Hunting Cased Fob Watch by Benson of London, 30mm diameter white enamel dial with black Roman baton numerals, enamel chapter ring to exterior of case, keyless wind, base metal dust cover, total gross weight 38.1gThe item presents in good overall condition showing only light marks to the exterior, there are no obvious dents. There is no sign of any previous damage or repair. The engine turned chapter ring is in good condition showing only a slight mark/tiny chipping to the 3 o'clock position, this is commensurate with age and usage, however all images should be studied closely prior to bidding, as this will be apparent. The dial is clean and bright and free from any hairline cracks, the baton numerals are clear and concise and hands appear original. The watch is inscribed to the rear with either I M or M I, we would suggest it is M over I. The watch winds, runs and sets but should be regarded as untested. Prospective buyers are advised to study all condition report images carefully prior to bidding.
A 19th Century French White Marble and Gilt Brass Mounted Lyre Pattern Mantel Clock, by A. Mougin, No. 127426, the 4ins diameter white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and floral swags, to the eight day movement striking on a bell, contained in a gilt brass sunburst pattern casing mounted to centre of a lyre, with bold leaf, bead, floral swag and mask mounts, the moulded oval base with floral swags, on four turned feet, 19ins high The clock presents in good overall condition being quite clean. The gilding appears reasonably but potentially should not be considered the original gilding. All the accoutrements and swags appear to be correct and in place, no obvious sign of previous damage or repair to any of them, likewise the marble appears to free from any chips or obvious sign of repair. The glass is in good condition, free from any chips or scratches, likewise the enamel to the dial presents well with no obvious signs of any cracks, hairline or otherwise. The paste stones to the chapter ring are all present and appear to be securely set. To the rear of the clock there is some verdigris present on some of the brightwork. The key is present. The rear door functions correctly. The hinge is a little loose but is in fine working condition. The glass appears to be original. The mechanism appears to be complete and the clock winds, runs and sets but should be regarded as untested and we cannot warrant the originality of all components.
