DIAMOND RING, EARLY 19TH CENTURY designed as a graduating row of claw and collet set, cushion shaped diamonds between carved foliate shoulders, size O 1/2; together with an oval paste and simulant pearl brooch, 1880s composite (2) ++Central stone measures 5.2x5.2x2.5mm approximatelu, I/J, clarity, side 5mmx4.7mmx3.2 approximately, end 4.3mmx3.7x3, approxmately, side of central 5.2mmx4.7x3mm approximately, surface reaching inclusion, end 4.4mmx4.7mmx2.7mm approximately, all remaining stones I/J colour, Vs/Si clarity. 42mmx38mm, well made, you would expect the quality of the setting to have diamonds in it. The black enamel around the pearl is in good condition no obvious wear. Pendant fitting. Some blackening to the mount. Simulant pearl later addition as are paste possibly. A good look.
TWO NINE CARAT GOLD BRACELETS one charm bracelet of trace links with various 9 carat charms including: a mouse, a St Christopher, hallmarked London 1966, a pelican, hallmarked Birmingham 1992, a shield from Guernsey, hallmarked Birmingham 1970, length approximately 190mm, 24gr; the other bracelet, 1880s, of rose gold trace links set with alternating seed pearl and turquoise shamrocks with a later clasp, length approximately 200mm, 14.5gr all in ++Charm bracelet- each link stamped 375. Other charms are: an enamel partridge/game bird, unstamped with some areas where the enamel has worn off and there is gold but not obvious; a grandfather clock, unstamped; an elf on a toadstool; unstamped; a buggler, unstamped. The links are wearing thin where they join, some light discolouration and abrading. The other bracelet- the link by the clasp stamped 9ct. The bracelet shows typical wear for a bracelet of this age, some of the turquoise are a darker colour than the other stones. Pearls body colour varies from grey to some white, low to medium lustre. Safety chain. Later clasp in a yellower gold, stamped 375 for 9 carat gold
GOLD, GARNET AND ENAMEL MOURNING PENDANT, CIRCA 1834 the circular scalloped pendant with a central foiled cabochon garnet within a black enamel foliate border, the reverse with glazed hair compartment engraved ~In memory of Lucy Boggett, died 27 March 1834, aged 49~ diameter 28mm approximately ++Diameter 28mm approximately. The central cabochon diameter measures 8mm approximately, inclusions are surface reaching only seen on close inspection. The enamel is crisp and there is no apparent surface wear. There is light wear to the gold consistent with the age of the piece and some patina to the gold. The reverse has more wear and the glazed compartment is loose in the setting. In good condition.
