This is the extremely rare, small version measuring approximately 15in x 11.25in. In very good condition with a some small areas of restoration.
BR(S) FF enamel Departure time clock NEXT TRAIN with a central clock having geared hands to set the time, at the bottom is a circular rotating portion that can be turned to either REAR TRAIN or FRONT TRAIN. Measures 25in x 12in and is in very good condition with a few small chips. A rare item ex London Bridge Station.
BR enamel Totem Roundel FF BIRMINGHAM SNOW HILL from the ex GWR mainline station in the heart of Birmingham City. This type of sign was only used here and at Bristol Temple Meads on the Western Region although standard Totems were also used at both locations. In very good condition with minor chipping, measures 34in diameter.
London and South Western Railway 8 inch Mahogany cased drop dial fusee clock with a cast brass bezel supplied to the LSWR circa 1893 by John Gaydon of Barnstaple at a cost of 2-17-6d. The English fusee movement with rectangular plates held together by turned tapered pillars has been overhauled and the original white enamel dial lettered L&SWR JNo GAYDON 123 BARNSTAPLE has been lightly restored. The Mahogany case is in very good condition and features fine figured mahogany. The Southern Railway clock records show that it was last in use at Exeter Central Divisional Engineer's Office and was Transferred to the Western Region 1/1/1963. Complete and in working condition with pendulum and key.
Southern Railway enamel target station sign PURLEY from the former London Brighton and South Coast Railway station between Croydon and Red Hill. In very good condition with some expertly executed restoration to two creases, measures 26in long. A rare sign that has never appeared at auction before.
