A REGENCY MINIATURE SET BROOCH PENDANT of navette form, painted to the centre with a girl seated beside a lamb and her Spaniel, within a white jewelled and red guilloche enamel border, set in floral engraved yellow and rose gold, the reverse with hair-work panel, 4.5cms long, in a pear-shaped case. A DIAMOND-SET RAF BROOCH pave-set overall with graduated rose-cut diamonds with a green enamel wreath band and red enamelled crown, in unmarked yellow and white metal, 5.3cm long. See illustration. Provenance: Given to the vendor`s mother by Air Chief Marshall, Sir Augustus Walker (1912-1986). Walker became famous throughout the RAF due to the loss of his right arm. He was seriously injured when he was blown along the runway by the force of an exploding 4,000lb bomb ignited by some incendiaries lost from a Lancaster. He was awarded the DFC in 1941.
RACING INTEREST: A CARVED ROCK CRYSTAL ENAMEL AND DIAMOND STICK PIN, the rock crystal carved as a side portrait profile of a jockey wearing a blue and yellow enamel hat set in bands with rose-cut diamonds, forming the Rothschild family racing silks, on an unmarked yellow gold stick pin. See illustration. Provenance: The vendor`s father received this pin as a gift from the Rothschild family for whom he worked. His family lived on the Rothschild Estate in Tring. It is believed the portrait on this pin is that of Joe Childs (1884-1958) Jockey to King George V and the Rothschild family.
BERNARD INSTONE (1891-1987): A LATE DECO PERIOD ENAMEL AND BLUE PASTE NECKLACE set alternately with rectangular open floral links, each enamelled in dark blue and turquoise with flowers, interspersed with graduated kite-shaped blue pastes forming a collar, and set in silver, the concealed clasp stamped B.I., 16"" (41cm) long. See illustration. Provenance: Private collection, Somerset.

ADDED LOT An early 19th Century yellow metal and enamel Mourning Brooch, the central rectangular glass aperture (broken) containing blond hair and surrounded by a seed pearl border and legend "In Memory" within an engraved border in raised relief with flower heads and foliate designs etc., the rear of the Brooch with engraved initials JW, 2cm CONDITION REPORT: The rectangular glass has a vertical crack/break (see images).
A Cloisonne lidded vase, low squat form, decorated with birds and flowers. Diameter approximately 11 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are two very small dents to the lid. There does not appear to be any enamel missing to the outside but there is the inside of the lid. The centre finial has been re glued into place. The base to the piece is slightly loose and requires refixing. It has probably been dropped and there is evidence of cracking to the interior enamel around the foot rim. The main body of the piece has one small 4 mm loss to the brown and gilt sparkling enamel on the lower side of the body the upper section appears to be in good order.
