A late 18c English pair cased verge pocket watch, the movement signed Wm. Hinstock, London and having baluster pillars and a well pierced and chased balanced cock. The white enamel dial has Roman numerals and Arabic outer 5 minute numbers and has beetle and poker hands. the gold case is hallmarked for 1780 and the outer silver gilt case is embossed with a domestic scene. It is attached to an elaborate silver gilt chatelaine on which hang a watch key and a seal. 5cms dia.
A late 19c French four glass mantel clock in glazed brass case inlaid with blue ground champlevé enamel and surmounted by an urn. The case has freestanding columns to the corners and there is an enamel band around the dial rim and on the pendulum. the dial is gilt with Arabic numerals and an enamel centre. The movement is rack striking on a gong and has a compensated false mercury pendulum. The clock stands 38cms h.
A mid 19c French mantel clock the waisted case having a glazed pendulum aperture below the dial and decorated with gilt mounts and fret and surmounted by a gilt cherub. The case is veneered in mother of pearl and the front inlaid with brass foliage designs. The 9cm dia white enamel dial has Roman numerals and the two train movement has countwheel striking on a bell and a gilt shaped pendulum bob. The backplate is stamped Edward Bright, Paris and the clock stands on a rectangular giltwood base. Overall 44.5cms h.
Early 19c English mantel clock the dial signed F Battens (Baetons?) London in a bronze and ormolu drumhead case, the 10cm dial flanked by bronze classical figures and mounted on a long rectangular bronze base mounted with a rams head and floral ormolu decoration. The clock drum is surmounted by an ormolu Eagle. The white enamel dial has black Roman numerals and fronts a circular English single fusee movement with chain drive. the clock stands 33cms h.
A mid 19c English pair case verge pocket watch, the movement signed Ballard Cranbrook and the white enamel dial inscribed Obed Waghorne 1843. The movement has ringed pillars and a finely chased and pierced balance cock and the white enamel dial has Roman numerals. It is contained in silver pair cases hallmarked for London 1843. 5.5cms dia.

A late 19c German two weight Vienna Regulator in glazed walnut and ebonised case, the front door having turnings to the top and bottom of the door edges and bookmatched veneers to the back of the case. The base top has a round arch surmounted by a carved leaf cresting and the base is shaped with a tarnished bottom finial. the white enamel two piece 18cm dia dial has Roman numerals and seconds dial. The pendulum has a wood rod and the weights are brass bound. The movement strikes on a gong and has a deadbeat escapement and the clock is 122cms h.
A late 19c German two weight Vienna Regulator by Gustav Becker. The glazed walnut case has fluted columns flanking the door and a decorative crown surmounting the case which is moulded and has three turned finials. The base is gadrooned and has a central finial, and the veneers in the back of the case are book matched. The dial is two piece and of cream enamel with Roman numerals and Becker's trademark. The movement strikes on a gong and has deadbeat escapement. The pendulum rod is of timber and the weights are brass bound. 132cms h.
An early 20c Swiss gentleman's pocket watch by the Havila Watch co. the keyless Swiss bar movement has a compensated bi-metallic balance and two colour gold dial with Arabic numerals and separate seconds dial. It is contained in a silver case with baton and Greek key decoration in black enamel on the case edge. It is contained in its original presentation box. 4.5cms dia.
