Silver and silver mounted wares, comprising; a Victorian seven piece teaspoon set, comprising; six teaspoons and a caddy spoon, London 1868, cased, a King's pattern caddy spoon, Sheffield 1894, a George IV caddy spoon, a Scottish butter knife, combined weight 128 gms, six silver handled butter knives, a silver cased popelling pencil, a plated propelling pencil and an enamel on copper decanter label, (13).
A Mintons porcelain footed bowl, the frieze painted with a continuous scene of sailing boats in calm waters signed by W.E.J. Dean, above a turquoise ground, all within gilt borders and further embellished with gilt enamels, printed backstamp, dia. 22cm. Condition report: One gilt enamel dot missing. Otherwise no apparent faults.
A late 19th/early 20th century sapphire, diamond, 'pearl' and white enamel brooch, the central oval sapphire, approx. 10.7 x 8.8 x 5.2mm, collet mounted with an old cut diamond to either end, surrounded by a navette border of white enamel, followed by a band of small leaves set with rose cut diamonds with four 'pearls' and a further outer navette of white enamel, all set into unmarked yellow metal (tests as approx. 18ct gold), pin stamped ET, 39mm long, cased by Sandra Cronan Ltd. Burlington Arcade, London, with accompanying receipt Pearls not tested. Buyers must satisfy themselves to nature & origin. Overall condition good.Some evidence of lead solder to back.Enamel edge is chipped.Sapphire appears to be untreated, but we are unable to ascertain for certain.,Shows hexagonal banding.Crystal inclusions.
A Victorian Etruscan revival fringe brooch, the round brooch set to centre with a single old mine cut diamond, estimated approx. 0.10cts, amid a star in a blue enamel dome, surrounded by beaded and rope twist borders, the lower half set with a hinged arc with fringe decoration, set to reverse with glazed panel, all in unmarked yellow metal (tests as approx. 18ct gold), 34mm wide, (15.2g)
A mid-18th century French gilt metal and porcelain set snuff-box, of oval form, the cover enamel decorated with cherubs amidst a river landscape, the waisted and domed body chased with leaves and flowers, 5.7cm. Porcelain with several small cracks to edge at 7-8 o’clock, but no losses apparent.Some handling wear and fading to porcelain.Some gilt wear to extremities.Otherwise no apparent faults.
A Chinese cloisonné enamel and gilt bronze censor, of tapering rectangular form, decorated with red, dark blue, black, white and green enamels on a pale blue ground, four character mark verso, w.28.5cm. No dents, splits or repairs.Numerous large ‘pin hole’ losses to the enamel throughout.Blemish to top of one handle.Otherwise good.
A Clarice Cliff crocus pattern honey pot and cover, the lid at fault, 10cm high CONDITION REPORT: Base - Green lined rim very rubbed, over-painted patch to the central orange crocus, Some minor enamel flaking and rubbing but otherwise appears to be in good order. Cover - extensive crack and re-glued section. see the attached images for further clarification.
A Robert et Fils open face chiming pocket watch, the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, inner case stamped 'K18', movement signed, gross weight 127.3gms, 5.3cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Not currently ticking. Engine turned decoration worn. Case reverse dented. Quivre worn. Movement with areas of scratches. Minute had re-soldered. Face with scratches and staining. Some small nibbles visible to the edge of the face. Loop and crown dented. Scratched crystal. Case sides with some localised denting. See additional images for clarification. A chime can be heard with crown is pushed down.
An 18K gold open face pocket watch, the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, inner back case numbered '13482 11', dust cover engraved 'Ancre Ligne Droite, 15 Rubis, Remontoir No.13482', movement stamped 'JW & Cie' gross weight 76gms, 4.8cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Extensive wear is visible. The hands are misshapen and would require attention. Ticks when wound, however hand rotation is stopped due to misshaping. Noticeable chip to rim of face at 9 o'clock where screw is located. Face with speckling and Roman numeral dial showing further signs of wear. Hallmarks are clear. Reverse of case with signs of repair visible, including evidence of re-soldering to the interior. Winding crown possibly a replacement. Case sides with denting and signs of wear throughout.
An 18ct gold open face pocket watch by Thomas Russell & Son, Chester 1900, the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and centre sweep seconds, case numbered '101305', movement engraved 'Makers to the Queen, Liverpool' and numbered '101305', gross weight 115.2gms , 5.2cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Ticks when wound. Two chips to the face rim at 9 and 10 o'clock towards the hinge. Face shows general wear and hands would benefit from cleaning. Roman numeral dial appears bright and vivid. The movement is lacking its qivre. Hallmarks appear rubbed but partly legible. Crystal with general wear and surface scratching. Case exterior appears generally good with expected surface scratches and light blemishes.
A 9ct yellow gold, half hunter pocket watch, Birmingham 1927, the 9ct gold Dennison case enclosing white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, the 15 Jewel movement stamped 'Buren', gross weight 94.3gms CONDITION REPORT: Currently ticking. Face clean and bright, however could benefit from a light clean. Hallmarks legible. Case exterior appears in generally good condition with only light surface scratches.
