A Chinese porcelain bowl, decorated with puce enamel bats to a stylised floral ground, Qianlong seal mark to the base 17cm diameter, together with a fine octagonal water pot, probably Qing dynasty, in polychrome enamels on stand (3) Condition Report: Please see further images. The bowl has seven very small chips around the rim, and some minor firing imperfections throughout. The octagonal vase has fading gilt to rim and to decoration and a flea bite chip to the edge of the rim, there are chips to six of the eight feet, and a hairline to the lower inside rim in line with the shoulder, there are no marks to the base. The stand has been re-glued and there is an area of damage to one of the panels on the edge.
Drocourt of Paris, a petite-sonnerie gorge cased carriage clock: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a gong and the quarters on two-gongs and having a replaced platform lever escapement, with alarm, the backplate stamped with the Drocourt trademark the initials DC either side of a clock and serial number 16403, along with the retailers name and serial number Le Roy et Fils, Palais Royale 13 & 15, Paris, 11473, the inside of the plates stamped with a further Drocourt trademark and blanc roulant number 2416, the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, Arabic outer numerals, blued steel moon hands and a subsidiary alarm dial, the brass gorge case having a five-bail handle and stamped to the underside with a repeat of the serial number, along with a lever for 'sonnerie/silence', height 13.5cm handle down, 15.5cm handle up. * Biography Pierre Drocourt, born 1819, founded the Drocourt clock making business in Paris in 1853 with his son Alfred, born 1847, taking over in 1872. The blanc roulants to the clocks were made at their workshops in Saint Nicolas d'Aliermont, a town outside of Dieppe, before being finished at the workshops in Paris at Rue Debelleyme 28, previously Rue Limoges 8.

Henri Jacot, Paris, a brass carriage clock: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a gong with the original platform lever escapement, the backplate stamped with the serial number 6266, giving a date of manufacture of circa 1888, with the dial-plate stamped with the oval trademark for Jacot listing the numerous exposition awards, the last stamped being 1878, the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, typical Jacot inner ring and blued steel spade hands, the brass Corniche case with a three-bail carrying handle to the top, complete with numbered box and key, height 15cm (handle down), 18cm (handle up) Biography Henri Jacot, born 1796 in Le Locle, founded the Jacot carriage clock making business in Paris in 1822 at rue Montmorency 25, later re-numbered 31, and was succeeded after his death in 1878 by his nephew Albert Jacot, born 1846, with the help of his father, and Henri's brother, Julien Jacot.

Henry Marc, Paris, a French four-glass mantel clock: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a bell with the backplate stamped with the trademark of the movement maker Samuel Marti along with the name of the clock maker and serial number Hy Marc, Paris, 66344, with a two jar mercury compensating pendulum, the two-piece round white enamel dial having black Roman numerals, a visible escapement with ruby pallets, blued steel moon hands, and signed Hy Marc, Paris, the gilded brass four-glass case having decorative cast mounts to the corners, matching feet and surmounted by a decorative cast urn, height 43cm. * Biography Henry Marc was a well-known maker and retailer of clocks, being prolific in Paris the mid-to-late 1800s. His trademark is often seen on early style carriage clocks, often in wooden cases and having 'Jules' type platform escapements. * Notes For details of Samuel Marti see lot no. 755
Samuel Marti, an ormolu French wall clock: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a bell, the backplate stamped with the trademark of the maker Samuel Marti, Paris, the round four-inch white enamel dial having black Roman hour numerals, Arabic five-minute outer numerals and decorative brass hands, the shaped tapering ormolu case having applied floral mounts goats-head mounts to the top of the canted corners and surmounted by an ormolu urn, height 42cm. *Notes For details of Samuel Marti see lot no. 755

A fine gold cased miniature fob watch: the circular white enamel dial, 20mm diameter with Roman numerals, the keywound movement with cylinder escapement, inscribed G & B A.S + the dust cover inscribed 'Girard et Bornand A S Croix, Echappement a Cylindre Huit Trous Rubis', the foliate engraved case numbered '460', decorated with blue and white enamel and highlighted with split seed-pearls, diamonds and rubies, two settings vacant, together with winding key and in original maroon fabric covered case.
J. W. Benson. A gentleman's 18ct gold, half hunter pocket watch: the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and blued steel spade hands with attached 18ct gold bi-colour chain, approximately 115gms gross weight in fitted, brown leather case, the exterior initialled 'D.R.G 1st June 1911', the interior stamped 'J.W.Benson.Ltd'.
