The World Festival of Youth & Students was a sports competition between student unions of various Soviet & communist countries. The event still continues today which promotes hard left communism & socialist ideologies.
A late Victorian black slate and marble mantle clock, featuring two white enamel dials with the upper dial (with Roman numerals) for reading the time and the lower dial functioning as a decorative calendar providing the month, day of the week and date. The black slate body of the clock is inset with red marble banding and chevron details, scrolling edge side detail, a stepped base and rounded, arched top.
