Set of four 18th century Spanish dishes.2 of them Catalan "Faixes i Cintes", 2 Aragonese.In glazed ceramic.They show faults in the polychromy, cracks and chips on the sides.Measurements: 20 cm. diameter, the largest one.Four ceramic dishes, decorated with figurative compositions in blue enamel on a white setting. This decoration reflects the technical skill of the craftsmen. Despite its monochrome, the use of cobalt blue applied in different gradations produces a large number of shades which, in turn, contrast with the white tonality used as the base of the pieces.

Set of three Catalan dishes of "Faixes i cintes", s.XVIII.In glazed ceramic.It presents faults in the polychromy, chips and chips on the sides.Measurements: 30.5 cm. diameter the largest.Three ceramic plates, decorated with figurative compositions in blue enamel on a white setting. This decoration reflects the technical skill and sensitivity of the craftsmen, the European and Eastern influences and the successive technical innovations that gave the work of the Catalan potters a unique character. As for the technique used, despite its monochrome nature, the use of cobalt blue applied in different gradations produces a large number of shades which, in turn, contrast with the white shade used as the base of the pieces.

Box hallmarked for W.H.Haseler, Birmingham, Box: 13cm x 9cm x 5cm high. Enamel plaque: 8.2cm x 5.7cm Footnote William Hair Haseler, founder member of the firm W. H. Haseler, merged with Liberty's & Co., in 1901 and thereafter continued to execute all silver. They also made the Tudric pewter range. Literature Isabelle Anscombe & Charlotte Gere, Arts & Crafts in Britain and America, Academy Editions, London, 1978, p.203 for similar designs.Enamel plaque in good order. Silver box has an indentation to the left side below the hallmarks, also small dents to the silver which frames the plaque, overall some surface marks/light scratches and surface variations between hammered effect and smooth, however the overall appearance of the box is in good order. Interior wood lining has pen marks.

Gesch', height 32.2cm Condition: There is one small dint to the edge of the base, which is hard to see. There are some watermarks visible towards the base. The enamelled decoration is in good order. There are three fine cracks to the top of the vase, visible on the inside, see images.
