Coming from a private collection of period enamelled signs collected by a gentleman over four decades. An original and rare period Jaguar enamelled steel sign burgundy ground with cream writing measuring approx. 92cm x 102cm. This original enamel sign dates from late 1950's and early 1960's and so is perfect to adorn the motor house wall overlooking a much loved XK or E-Type. An 18 Carat Gold Open Faced Pocket Watch, signed Rolex, 1906, lever movement signed, enamel dial with Roman numerals, seconds dial, case with Chester hallmark for 1906, 50mm wide, with a 9 carat gold curb link chain with attached T-bar and bloodstone swivel seal 15.01.21 case with surface scratches, dial is clean, movement not working. It appears that the mainspring has broken. Total watch weight 104g. Total chain weight with seal 40.6g. Each chain link is stamped 375, chain in good condition, in my opinion the chain is rose gold. The chain will date around the same period at the watch.

A Knight Grand Cross Breast Star of the Civil Division (G.C.H.): instituted in 1815, breast star, 88 mm, in Silver with brilliant cut, pierced rays, centre medallion in gold and enamels (minor cracks and hairlines in the white enamel), reverse with vertical tapered pin and hook, maker’s mark “Carl Büsch, Hannover”. A beautiful star, very rare and in extremely fine condition. II RR!
A Grand Cross Breast Star with chiselled and pierced rays, 87 mm, centre medallion with separately-made “running horse” in silver mounted on bright red enamel ground with green enameled “field” below; pale blue enameled outer circlet with motto “NEC ASPERA TERRENT”, within a green enameled laurel wreath; the reverse with vertical, narrow pin (French mark on it and on the catch) and two pins.An early, fine and rare star, from ca. 1840-50 in very fine condition. The Guelphic Order was founded in 1815 by George, Prince Regent, later King George IV and awarded both to British and Hanoverians (and foreign dignitaries) being Hanover under the common rule of the British Sovereign. At the death of George IV, the order was awarded by the King of Hanover from 1837. The order, as a state award ceased its existence when the Kingdom of Hanover was taken by Prussia as a consequence of the 1866 war. I RR!

Besides the award to Indian Royals and Princes, the order was destined to Indian and British officers and stare officials. Not awarded since 1947, with the death of the last Knight, the Maharaja of Dhrangadhra, the order became dormant. I RR!

This order, instituted on April 17th 1879 by Prince Alexander, was destined to reward outstanding, and exceptional acts of valour during wartime. A Commander's Cross of the Order, 70x33 mm., GOLD, ca. 24 g., both sides enameled, the cross with nest chisel-work under the translucent, red enamel, round upper loop, white enamelled star suspension flanked by polished rays, centred with the red enamelled sacred heart with green enamelled details and black enamelled upper cross, polished reverse and large, hinged rear loop, original red silk neck ribbon, together with awarding document, to a Belgian diplomat, dated 1855, enclosed authorisation letter and envelope.A magnificent mid 19th century set, in high jeweler'a quality and best condition!.
