German third Reich. 1st class Cross of Honour of the German Mother in case of issue. A fine gilt example with blue and white enamelled arms and central black enamel swastika complete with long neck riband. Reverse with facsimile Adolf Hitler signature. VGC. Housed in original Wilh. Deumer fitted case of issue, the lid embossed with facsimile of the award. Instituted by Adolf Hitler on 16th December 1938; 1st Class awarded for bearing 8 or more children for the Fatherland.
Badge. Scottish. The Royal Scots (Lothian Regiment) Victorian Officer’s helmet plate circa 1881-91. A fine and scarce example. Gilt crowned star mounted with Order of the Thistle Star bearing hand pierced silver rope edged circlet inscribed “Nemo me impune lacessit” with silver Thistle to centre all set on domed green enamel ground. Mounted on the base of the Thistle Star, a silver scroll inscribed “The Lothian Regt”. Three loops to reverse. VGC

Hobnail Maltese cross with ball finials to the tips and lions between the arms. Mounted on the cross, a circlet inscribed “Punjab Infantry”; “VI” to centre on a rich blue translucent enamel ground. Facetted silver Garter Star mounted with a gilt pierced Garter on a rich blue enamel ground; central Cross of St. George in translucent red enamel. Two loops to reverse. Crowned star mounted with wreathed Garter, the black velvet centre with gilt rimmed Maltese cross on silver star with hart crossing ford on a blue enamel ground. Mounted on the base of the wreath, a silver scroll “The Hertfordshire Battalion” . Three loops to reverse. Minor chips to enamel not affecting appearance otherwise GC. Formed 1st April 1908; redesignated 1st Bn. The Hertfordshire Regiment in March 1909.
DCO Middlesex Regiment Victorian Officer’s glengarry badge. A very fine scarce rich gilt example, Crowned circlet inscribed ‘Duke of Cambridge’s Own Middlesex Regiment’ with rich translucent blue enamel centre bearing silver laurel wreath, Prince of Wales’s plumes, Duke of Cambridge’s coronet and cypher all surmounted by ‘Albuhera’ honour scroll. Two loops to reverse. VGC
Badge. The King’s (Shropshire Light Infantry) Edwardian Officer’s helmet plate circa 1902-04. A good scarce short lived gilt example of crowned star pattern mounted with laurel wreath and Garter, the green enamel centre mounted with silver strung bugle with gilt “KSLI” between the strings. To the base of the wreath, an applied tri-part scroll “The Shropshire Lt. Infy.”. Three pinched loops to reverse. Verdigris to reverse and a trace on the obverse beneath the crown. GC 53rd Foot (Shropshire) became 1st Bn. King’s Light Infantry (Shropshire Regiment) on Friday 1st July, 1881 under Cardwell’s reforms. Eight months later redesignated The King’s (Shropshire Light Infantry) 10th March 1882. Green velvet central backing replaced with enamel in 1900. Hugh King Collection

Badge. Machine Gun Guards WW1 Officer’s 1918 Birmingham hallmarked silver cap star. A fine and scarce example by B & P (Bent & Parker). Hallmarked on both the reverse of the star and the backing plate. Cut silver five pointed star with pierced circlet inscribed “Quinque juncta in uno 1916” on a blue enamel ground. To the centre a Crowned GMR cypher on a red translucent enamel ground. The principle points of the star comprise a bullet, between the bullets, the grenade, Rose, Thistle, Shamrock and Leek. Badge. 9th (East Norfolk) Regiment of Foot Officer’s Belltop shako plate circa 1829-44. An extremely fine and exceedingly scarce example of the first pattern. Large rich fire gilt crowned star mounted with a cut silver star, To the centre, within a gilt laurel wreath, Britannia with sprig of laurel to raised right hand, over “IX” set on a domed black enamel ground; the wreath entwined with dead gilt scroll bearing honours. Reverse retains both original horizontal loops; fixing wires to reverse of crown and lower ray. VGC
