An English enamel box of maritime interest,early 19th century, printed and painted with a naval battle scene between English and French ships, two 'C's mark to inside lid,5cm wide4.5cm deep3cm high,together with two oval patch boxes,late 18th/early 19th century, illustrated with scenes of ladies in landscapes,4.5cm wide4cm deep2.5cm high, anda brass and enamel snuff box,illustrated with chinoiserie scenes,3.5cm wide3cm high (4)The two 'C's mark to the maritime box bears similarities to other 19th century French examples from the Samson factory.Condition report: Naval scene - discolouration to pink base, wear to corners.Pink boxes - both with loss to base, surface discolouration and scratches and wear to underside, one mirror complete loss of silver, one with foxing.Chinoiserie box - two losses to the lid and base with resulting cracks, fading to decoration and colour.
