Three: Crimea 1854, 1 clasp Sebastopol, (engraved Colonel Henry Daniell Coldm Guards); Turkish Order of Medjidie, 4th Class; Turkish Crimea medal, Sardinian issue (un-named). All with contemporary ribands and topped with Hunt & Roskell two prong brooches. Good Very Fine to Extremely Fine (Medjidie enamel chipped at base of Crescent) Plate 2 Note: Henry Daniell. Ensign 1829, Capt 1835, Brevet Major 1846, Lt Col 1847, Colonel 1854. He accompanied 2nd Bn Coldstream Guards to N. America in 1838 on the occasion of the insurrection in Canada, returing to the UK in 1842. With the 1st Bn in the Crimea including Siege 1855, was in command of the Bn at the period of the attack on the Redan and the fall of Sebastopol. The Jamaican nurse Mary Seacole, who tended the sick in the Crimea, arrived back from the campaign penniless. In 1867 a fund was set up on her behalf with Col. Henry Daniell of the Coldstream Guards as Chairman.

A Halcyon Days Presentation Carriage Clock, the rectangular clock of a typical form, measuring approximately 5 x 3.5 x 3, c.1990, with a carrying handle and polished gilt brass and glazed sides, the front panel decorated with light green enamel and enhanced with floral clusters, the circular white enamel dial with black Roman chapters, above the crowned initial D of the Princess of Wales within an oval floral frame. Engraved across the top 'Presented by H. R. H. Princess of Wales' and with an engraved panel 'Number 15' affixed to the base. Further engraved on the mechanism 'Made in England 11 Jewels'. Contained in the original blue fitted presentation box, the cover embossed in gold with the crowned insignia of the Princess. Rare. VG The present carriage clock, one of a limited number produced especially for Princess Diana, was presented as a gift to the Royal Aide Evelyn Dagley, Personal Dresser to Princess Diana from 1981-92. Dagley was the only female to accompany Prince Charles and Princess Diana on their honeymoon aboard the royal yacht Britannia
