A French ormolu Sèvres-style mantel clock with blue celeste finial, floral-decorated Roman dial and cartouche panel decorated with cherubs to a blue celeste ground, height 30.5cm. CONDITION REPORT Age-related wear, areas of damage to the enamel on clock face, wear to the gilding. Some slight loss of colour in places to the enamel. Not currently in working order.

Geoffrey Baxter for Whitefriars, a glass cylinder vase with white enamel trails on a dark blue ground, cased in clear, 22 cm. From an early 1960's range which was quickly withdrawn due to technical issues, items from this range are fairly scarce.. Ref:- 'Whitefriars Glass - The art of James Powell and Sons' (Jackson) P87 for a photo of Geoffrey Baxter with part of the range.This vase is in excellent condition, and having been in storage for a number of years, shows very little wear. No chips, fleabites or scuffing in evidence, no surface marks, internally excellent, no sign of any watermarks, base shows very minor wear. Looks almost brand new. An excellent example.
An Indian neillowork white metal spherical hatpin, decorated with birds and fauna. Together with a Chinese white metal floral hairpiece surmounted by a toad bearing Chinese character marks to underside; an enamel sphere decorated with white cranes; a pair of ceramic spheres with holly and mistletoe; two horn hairpieces; a gilt metal example and two othersUnfortunately SAS is unable to provide postage quotes prior to an auction. Overall the hat pins are in good condition. Light scuffs and scratches to the ceramic spheres with slight rubbing to the decoration, mistletoe examples have small chips. Discolouration and tarnishing to all metal sticks, sticks show no dents or bends. Enamel example has multiple scratches to the metal and spot of discolouration to the green enamel. Toad hat pin has a bent stick, tarnishing to the metalwork, signatures clear. The example with two beaded terminals is partially unattached, dented and has cracking to some beads. Yellow plastic example is partially snapped.
