A large Staffordshire figure 'The Lion Slayer', circa 1860, modelled as an impressive bearded figure in Scottish Highland dress standing on a rock and clasping a lion carcass in his right hand and a saber in his left, possibly depicting the notorious Roualeyn George Gordon-Cumming, polychrome enamel painted with gilded details, figure positioned on a naturalistic, ovoid, gilt-lined base bearing 'THE LION SLAYER' in gilt lettering, 41.5cm high.Note: Roualeyn George Gordon-Cumming (1820 – 1866) was a Scottish traveler and sportsman, known as the "lion hunter". The story of his exploits is vividly told in his book, Five Years of a Hunter's Life in the Far Interior of South Africa, 1851. In the same year, Gordon-Cumming exhibited his collection of hunting trophies at the Great Exhibition.

EARLY 20th CENTURY SILVER ENAMELLED DRESS BUTTONS, BROOCH AND HAT PIN - PART SET- CASED. The matching set in dark pink and white guilloche enamel with the brooches and and hat pin marked sterling silver back and rims Condition Report : One button with worn enamel - The set lacking two broooches-- original case intact. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting (where possible) any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
A French Boulle inlaid striking mantel clock late 19th century, the balloon shaped case with gilt metal foliate scroll, husk, rocaille and mask mounts and seated putto finial, brass inlay and tortoiseshell veneers, glazed front pendulum aperture and foliate scroll feet, 5in. cast gilt brass dial with twelve Roman numeral enamel cartouches, twin barrel movement striking the half hours on a bell, no. 2909, further marked '1875', sunburst mask pendulum bob, 15¾in. (40cm.) high, with a matching Boulle inlaid base. (2) *Winds, runs and strikes. Some small blisters, cracking and deterioration to the surface of the tortoiseshell to the lower and upper side panels. A couple of small pieces of brass inlay lifting. Shrinkage crack to back of pagoda top and two to movement door. No damage to enamel numerals. Stand has some small chips and flakes from tortoiseshell to top edge of front. Good overall.
An antique 9ct rose gold cased ladies wrist watch hallmarked London 1915, the manual wind movement fronted by a tonneau shaped white enamel Arabic dial, in a conforming 24mm. case, with gold plated sprung bracelet, faults. *Winds and runs. The minute hand is detached and loose beneath the glass. Hairline to dial at 3.30 and slight wear to numerals. Small dings to case back and one to top of case front.
A Grande Sonnerie gilt brass carriage clock made for the Chinese market, with push button repeat and alarm late 19th century, no. 591, in gilt Anglaise Riche case with chased floral and foliate decoration and curled ribbon borders, the recessed base fitted with a selection lever, with white circular Roman enamel dial with Arabic outer 5 minute track and blued steel hands, an alarm dial beneath, within a silvered, engine turned mask, the eight day two train movement signed with three Chinese characters, with silvered platform escapement and striking the hours and quarters on two bells, with push button repeat sounding the last hour at will, 6in. (15.25cm.) high excluding handle, in the original green velvet travelling case with key. *Winds and runs. Strikes correctly and repeat is functioning. Overall condition very good - no notable faults. A few small dark spots of tarnish to surface of gilt case. The velvet travel case is only in poor to fair condition - faded, wear & splits / holes to edges and corners and velvet is partially detached from one side of lid. Carrying handle missing.
A Victorian silver cased ladies open faced fob watch hallmarked London 1886, the floral decorated, white enamel dial with blue Roman numerals, signed for the retailer 'A. Roger' (A.P. Roger of Guernsey), in a foliate chased 35mm. case, the cuvette inscribed 'Charlotte Mollett 1886', the gilt, key wind lever movement also signed 'A. Roger', with key. *Runs only briefly although is fully wound. Dial VG, case VG.
A Japanese Satsuma earthenware large planter the exterior hand painted in raised enamels and gilded with four panels / reserves depicting figures, flanked with intricate geometric designs, finished in raised enamel and gold decoration, 10½in. (26.7cm.) high, together with two pots and a pair of vases in a similar palette (5) * All pieces with hairlines etc, overall fair/good.

A George V cased silver and pink guilloche enamel dressing table set Walker & Hall, Birmingham. 1925/26, comprising a hand mirror, two hairbrushes, two clothes brushers and a comb, in fitted case. * Comb missing enamel (not sure if it had any in the first place), two teeth missing, other pieces with good enamel, case hinge broken.
Nano Lopez (Colombian / American, b.1955) 'Sherlock' Bronze Dog Sculpture signed on left hind leg 'Nano 2013' and right hind leg numbered '63/480', having enamelled, gold patina and sculptural, engraved designs, 15in. (38cm.) long and standing 13 3/8in. (34cm.). * Excellent condition, bright enamel decoration, pads to underside of paws.
Five pin cushions together with seventy-three vintage and antique hat pins comprising two novelty white metal pin cushions in the form of a boot, one octagonal embroidered silk cushion and two silver mounted pin cushions, Birmingham, the hat pins of varying styles, sizes, ages and materials including glass, ceramic, jet, enamel, pearl and two of rolled gold in their original box. * Pin cushions showing wear, some stones missing from pins etc, overall fair.
A George III silver verge fusee pocket watch by John Richards, London hallmarked 1803, gilt movement with pierced and engraved balance cock with mask, four turned gun barrel pillars, signed 'Jon. Richards London No. 6021', white enamel Roman dial, case 48mm. diameter, faults; together with a Georgian shagreen and gilt metal pair case (does not fit this watch). (2) * Richards: Fusee chain missing - does not wind and run. Lacks outer pair case. One hand missing. Later plastic glass. For repair. - Shagreen case: Good condition, with some wear to gilt.
First World War interest - an antique 18ct gold and diamond Prince of Wales feathers stick pin designed as the Prince of Wales feathers within a diamond set horseshoe, inscribed verso 'Lieut. J. Heyes T.O.S.i H.R.H. / 18', 8cm. long; together with a 9ct gold stone-set stick pin; and a silver eagle stick pin. (3) * POW feathers: One tiny enamel 'jewel' missing from crown. Small old soldered spot repair to one end of motto ribbon. Otherwise good. - 9ct: Good condition. - Eagle: Good condition
L. Durand, 19th century French Morbier clock of Repousse Brass Construction. with faded burnishing and enamel highlights to face and pendulum. On the face is written "1e're Qte Garantie / L. Durand / aux Moutiers le Maufaits". Height of face of mechanism: 43cm Height of pendulum: 95cm. Brass has age related dents and tarnishing.
