Fritz Piquet & Bachmann of Geneva - Continental full hunter keyless pocket watch with gilt winder and ring, case decoration depicting the figure of St. George slaying a dragon and with an armorial design, the white enamel dial having gold hands, gilt foliate sprays and inset red and blue ‘stones ‘interspersing the Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, the inside of the top cover with an engraved presentation inscription to ‘Charles Sligo de Pothonier from Hettie…1888’, the bottom cover engraved ‘Chronometer Echappement a ancre spiral Brequet en palladium 20 rubis’, the partially gilded and jewelled signed visible movement numbered 9525, case diameter 52mm. The Geneva based company of Fritz Piquet & Bachmann specialised in finely adjusted watches and supplied ebauches to many major watchmakers which included Patek Philippe.
