An 18 Carat Gold Solitaire Diamond Mourning Ring, an old cut diamond star set to a tapering shank picked out in black enamel with foliate scrolls, estimated diamond weight 0.20 carat approximately, finger size I The ring is in good to fair condition. There is overall surface wear to the enamel and the shank has been resized leading to a mishapen outline. It is hallmarked with maker's mark 'F(?)&S', Chester, 1895. The diamond measures 3.2mm x 3.2mm x 2.6mm approximately. The approximate qualities of the diamond are; colour F/G, clarity SI1/SI2. There is a grazing mark/natural on the crown. Gross weight 4.2 grams. Condition Report made 15th November 2017.
