A Japanese Meiji period cloisonné enamel vase of square ovoid form with flared rim, decorated with blossoming prunus branches to one side, and with chrysanthemum to one side, height 31cm (rim af). CONDITION REPORT: Rim has been misshapen and there are some losses to the enamel near the edge, also two sides of the vase have single areas of scratches/chips and minor losses to the enamel on the base.
A group of various hallmarked silver spoons, including three fiddle pattern teaspoons, London 1848, 1850 and 1853, three souvenir spoons and two further spoons, a butter knife and a fruit knife, a pair of sugar tongs, London 1868, and a white metal and blue guilloche enamel pickle fork, weighable silver approx 4.7ozt.
A late 19th/20th century Swiss silver cased crown wind fob watch, the enamel floral gilt heightened decorated dial set with Roman numerals, engraved "TGF" to the back, a further silver plated example, and a hallmarked silver cased open face key wind pocket watch, case hallmarked for London 1922 (all af) (3).
A pair of Japanese Meiji period cloisonné enamel vases depicting branches of blossoming prunus on a blue ground, height 28cm, converted to lamp bases. CONDITION REPORT: One of the vases has a major chip to the rim of the base, the other has two major spreading cracks and small losses to enamel to the upper part.
A late 19th century slate mansion mantel clock with column and pilaster supports and figural frieze beneath a dome and finial, with etched base plinth, the cream enamel chapter ring set with Arabic numerals, Japy Freres movement, width 43cm, height 43cm, and a German Koma anniversary clock under a glass dome, height 30cm.
ROLEX; a gentleman's vintage 9ct gold cased wristwatch, the circular white enamel dial set with Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds, width 3.2cm. CONDITION REPORT: The dial is chipped to two sections and has numerous hairline cracks. Winds freely but does not appear to be working. Dial is badly damaged.
A George V hallmarked silver framed clock, the shaped frame edged by a foliate wreath and decorated with an engraved cherub in an oval cartouche, the octagonal engine turned dial set with Arabic numerals and protected by blue tinted bevelled glass, with Swiss movement, Cornelius Saunders and James Hollings, Birmingham 1923, height 11.25cm (stand missing). CONDITION REPORT: Not working. Damage to enamel at 3 o'clock. Case is slightly worn and 'springs' slightly.
A yellow metal ring with a cluster of blue stones, shank marked 18K, size N/M, a pair of yellow gold globular earrings set with coloured enamel glass, and a further pair of yellow metal earrings in the Egyptian style set with oval glass (3). CONDITION REPORT: Enamelled earrings: one with tiny chip to central platform, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration. Other items worn but OK.
A mixed lot of jewellery including a 9ct yellow gold bar brooch set with blue topaz and twelve small cubic zirconias, an electroplated silver snap bangle engraved with foliate scrolls, a yellow metal mounted cameo brooch, a white metal and cloisonné enamel created belt, a cultured pearl bead two strand necklace with 9ct yellow gold clasp set with amethyst cabochon, etc, also a 9ct yellow gold cased lady's wristwatch on expanding bracelet, a further watch with a matching bracelet, etc.
A 20th century Chinese Canton tea set painted in enamel with various figural panels on foliate and floral sprays, comprising teapot, cream jug, sugar bowl and cover, six trios and one larger plate. CONDITION REPORT: Some nibbles to the edge of a few cups, also one of them has a reglued section, other pieces have very minor nibbles to areas, rubbing to the gilding.
A late 19th century French ormolu mounted and beige marble clock garniture, the circular enamel dial set with Arabic numerals inscribed "A.Carpent(?)r Doudevlle" and "Just", the eight day drum movement raised on four tapering columns suspending a floral garland with Apollo mask pendulum, height 42.5cm, with pair of twin handled urns (3).
ROBERT POTTER OF LIVERPOOL; an early 19th century silver cased open faced key wind pocket watch, the circular enamel dial set with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds, the fusee movement with engraved cock and with cylindrical columns, inscribed "48401", case hallmarked for Chester, a further silver cased pocket watch, the silvered engraved dial set with yellow metal Roman numerals, and a further pocket watch (all af) (3).
A George VI hallmarked silver rectangular cigarette case with overall engine turned decoration and shaped vacant cartouche, WT Toghill & Co, Birmingham 1940, 8.5 x 8cm, a similar chrome plated example, also a hallmarked silver topped dressing table jar, Birmingham 1929, a small silver mounted photo frame and an ivory and yellow guilloche enamel decorated cheroot holder, weighable silver approx 3.6ozt (5).
A Victorian white metal ciborium and cover with a cylindrical band around the bowl with gilt wash interior, with pierced foliate motifs to the lower border, engraved "SANCTUS, SANCTUS, SANCTUS", centred with a base metal and enamel roundel with holy initials, on hexagonal stem with large embossed knop to spreading lobed base, the domed cover with pelican nest finial, probably Hardman & Co., Birmingham c. 1850, height 28cm. CONDITION REPORT: Minor damage to the rim of the bowl.
A pair of late 19th century Chinese ginger jars painted in underglaze blue with blossoming prunus, with associated covers (one af), height 19cm, a further smaller jar painted with foliate sprays and confronting dragons, height 10.5cm (cover af), and a blue and white twin handled moon flask, height 25.5cm, each piece bearing a Kangxi four character mark to base, also a Japanese Kutani teapot and an enamel decorated baluster vase (6). CONDITION REPORT: Pair of vases are OK but one lid completely smashed. Moon flask - two tiny chips to rim. Small jar - cover with section broken and missing.
Three Beswick Beatrix Potter figures; "Mr Jackson" backstamp BP3a, "Chippy Hackee" backstamp BP3b and "Squirrel Nutkin" backstamp BP3c, and a Royal Albert Beatrix Potter figure "Mrs Rabbit and Peter" and a boxed Crummles enamel box decorated with Mrs Tiggywinkle and a quantity of Wade Whimsies. CONDITION REPORT: Chippy Hackee has a chip to his left ear. Rest are in good condition.
A George V hallmarked silver and turquoise guilloche enamel decorated circular jewellery box raised on three outswept supports, Adie Bros, Birmingham 1929, diameter 7cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: There are two areas of loss to the enamel on the lid, one approx 1.5cm, the other approx 3cm, both along edge of rim. There are also some minor dents, and the base and one leg have been misshapen.
