An impressive 9ct gold, amethyst, emerald, seed pearl and white enamel brooch and earrings, in Suffragette colours, early 20th century, the oval brooch with pendant loop and detachable drop, the matching earrings with later wires, the brooch approx 6.5cm long by 4cm wide, the earrings approx 3cm, approx 27.5g. (3) Note: The brooch with later hallmarks for London 1970. Provenance: The property of the late Denisa, The Lady Newborough, wife of Thomas John Wynn, 5th Baron Newborough and thence by decent. London Buses senior officers' id badges comprising OFFICIAL'S PLATE (serial no 2036) issued for use as identification when on duty out of uniform with the design largely unchanged from that introduced by the LGOC in the early 1920s. Chrome-plated metal with blue enamel inlays. Plus two WALLET MEDALLIONS in chromed metal with red enamel inlays - the inspector (numbered) and instructor versions. All date from the 1980s and are in excellent condition. [3]
London Transport enamel coach stop E-PLATE for Green Line route 712 destinated Harpenden, Luton. This plate would have been located near the northern end of the route, quite possibly at St Albans. In ex-use condition with a little-grime and a couple of surface scratches. Destinated plates for route 712 are scarce. [1]
London Transport ENAMEL SIGN 'DANGER OVERHEAD REPAIRS' as fitted to the AEC Mercury tower wagons used to erect, maintain & dismantle the overhead wires of the London trolleybus system from 1936-62. This is one of the exact replica signs manufactured for the LT Museum (marked LTM 2/1991 on the reverse) in connection with the restoration of vehicle 89Q. A few small chips but generally excellent. Green Line Coaches Ltd RADIATOR BADGE as fitted to the company's coaches from c1930 until the formation of the LPTB in 1933. The plate is made of bronze (we believe) with enamel inlays in green, black and white, featuring the company name in the Underground Group bar & circle motif. A scarce item. In very good ex-vehicle condition with just a little loss of shine in places. [1]
London Transport enamel bus stop E-PLATE for 'Thames Weald'. This independent operator (Dr Nesbitt Heffernan) was mainly known for his Dartford Tunnel service which linked north Kent with Romford. Plates for this operator are very scarce. This is the version with green lettering. In very good ex-bus stop condition. [1]
London Transport enamel bus stop E-PLATE 'O. R. T. DOWNE BIGGIN HILL' from the un-numbered route between Orpington and Biggin Hill run under LT licence by Orpington Rural Transport Association between 1963-75, later route 858 and now covered by the R2 & R8. A very scarce example indeed, perhaps one of a pair only and likely to have been located in Orpington. [1]
London Transport Bus Chief Examiner's CAP BADGE issued in the early 1960s to the senior official responsible for the Examiners who conducted driving tests of trainees passing through LT's Chiswick Training School. It is believed that there was only one person in this position and that only a very small number of badges was produced, making this an exceptionally scarce badge. Made of 'gold'-plated metal with enamel inlays, in good, lightly-used condition. [1]
1930s London Transport 'Central Omnibuses' enamel OFFICIAL'S PLATE as issued to senior, plain-clothes officials. An exceptionally rare issue of this plate - the 'Central Omnibuses' wording was only used by LT in the first year or so of its existence and we have not seen this version before. Not mentioned in the main reference work on this subject. Nickel-silver with blue enamel inlays, in excellent condition. [1]
London Transport (London Buses) CAP BADGES comprising Area Inspector's issue from 1985 on, the last version of this traditional design (circle supported by griffins) which had originated in the 1930s and made of white metal with enamel inlays plus the Driver's/Conductor's issue in gold-coloured metal with enamel inlays. South Metropolitan Electric Tramways Driver's & Conductor's CAP BADGE dating from 1924-1933. Based on the Underground Group's bar & circle 'bullseye' motif and made of nickel-silver enamelled in blue. The badge has some small enamel losses in places and the lugs on the reverse are damaged. [1]
London Transport enamel coach stop E-PLATE for Green Line route 701 destinated Staines, Virginia Water, Ascot and which would have been located on a westbound stop, likely in Hammersmith or Hounslow. Unusually, the 701 still runs today - from Victoria to Bracknell. Traditional, destinated e-plates for the westbound 701 are very scarce indeed. In very good ex-use condition. [1]
London Transport Central Buses OFFICIAL'S PLATE wth serial no 1098 as issued for id purposes to senior officials who might often be in plain clothes. The design originated with the LGOC in the 1920s and this is the 1970s issue. Made of chromed metal with blue enamel inlays and in excellent condition. [1]
London bus driver's ENAMEL LICENCE BADGE 'STAGE DRIVER MECHANICAL POWER' issued in the first years of the 20th century when distinction needed to be made between horse and motor-bus drivers. A double-sided badge which would have been worn on the lapel with a leather strap and bearing serial number 18,954. This is the larger of the two variants issued and is in good condition with some edge corrosion and enamel loss. [1]

London Transport ENAMEL ARMBAND PLATE 'Interstation Autobus' as worn by the conductors on the bus service linking the main-line railway stations which ran from 1936-1950, with a break at the start of WW2, and was operated by C-class Leyland Cubs as well as ST-type double-deckers, painted in a blue livery. The badge is made of nickel-silver with enamel inlays, comes complete with its original leather strap (stiff) and is in excellent condition. An exceptionally rare item. [1]
