A 19thC Chinese enamelled Plate, decorated with central figural scene enclosed within blue enamels, D 19cm, together with a pair of lobed Chinese enamel Plates with central floral motif, D 17cm, a small enamelled Pot and Cover, a small Beaker with zhou mark, also together with a pair of lacquer and mother of pearl inlaid Bowls, lined with metal, D 12cm x H 6cm (8)Provenance - The Damien Parsons Collection. The property of the late John Damien Parsons, an East Devon architect and husband of poet Patricia Beer, whose interest in Asian Art was sparked after he inherited a few pieces of Chinese porcelain from his grandfather. Over many decades Parsons continued to add to the collection, sourcing Chinese and Japanese Ceramics and Works of Art from exhibitions and other collections. Pieces from the Parsons Collection were recently exhibited at Mount Edgcumbe.

A 19th century French 8-day mantle Clock, in slate case with marble relief, enamel dial with roman numerals and steel moon hands, movement stamped '125 69', pendulum stamped '806 72', the same clock found on the front of the Mick Watters 'Clocks Repairer's Manual', W 25 cm x H 27 cm x D 14.5 cm.

An early 20th century four-colour propelling pencil. The cylindrical barrel with four slides each with a different coloured enamel band, black, red, blue and green, apparently unmarked, 13cm long overall including the suspension loop (4 3/4 inches) Condition Report: Overall good condition for age, general light wear and tear commensurate with age and use. A 'slides' work and move ok. The are some small and minor 'chips' to the borders of the green enamel band, though none through to the metal, Similar chips on black though there is a large chip right across the enamel band BUT again not through to the metal, all chips are visible obvious with a 10X loupe but not over-obvious to the naked eye. Requires a good clean.
An early 19th century gold-mounted mother of pearl and enamel stationary or letters box. All-over veneered with mother of pearl panels, the hinged lid with applied polychrome enamelled gold flower and scroll mounts in rococo style, and with two damaged base-metal hinges and a wood and golden-silk lined compartmented interior, approx. 13.5cm high, 21cm wide, 11.5cm deep (5 1/4 x 8 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches) Condition Report: Overall in fair condition. A section of mother of pearl to the side is detached but present. Other sections are loose and the corner of one of the lid panels has a small chip. The metal is gold as opposed to gilt metal. Unable to test the metal however is believed to be 18ct or 22ct gold. Some losses to the enamel and a couple of the scrolls have become slightly detached from the box. It appears there may be a section of decoration missing to the top due to the presence of two symmetrical holes. The hinges are broken, the lining is slightly grubbing and frayed, one corner of the box/lining may have been glued back on.
