A mid 19th century circa 1855 French gilt metal and enamel mantel clock. Gilt metal & pink enamel painted urn finial, mounted atop embellished enamelled Roman dial, beaded gilt detail surround, Roman style goddess head either side and foliate detail. Marked to verso '1855 Medaille d'Argent Vincenti'. Neoclassical enamel painted scenes featuring ladies lounging and plucking grapes. Complete with winder. Presented on a red baize lined gilt wood stand, with label to base ' Aubert & Linton, 252 Regent St. London '. Measures approx. 36cm x 28cm x 13cm, the stand 34cm x 4.5cm x 15cm.

A Collection of Assorted Silver and Silver Plate, including match case, napkin rings, ashtrays, etc. together with four green glass Victorian paperweights (one tray)The silver includes two napkin-rings, each marked for Birmingham; a triangular ashtray, marked for Birmingham, a square ashtray marked for Birmingham, a cigarette-case, the cover enamelled with a flag depicting a balloon on a blue background and a match-box holder. The gross weight of the silver is 309gr.There is overall scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is a chip to the enamel on the cigarette-box. There are significant bruises to the square ashtray and less obvious bruises to some other pieces.
