A c.1930s London Underground enamel direction sign showing 'WAY OUT / AND TO / PICCADILLY LINE / PLATFORMS 3, 4 & 5','WAY OUT' inside bullseye pierced by three-flight arrow facing right, possibly from Holborn station, sign in bronze frame and mounted on backing board,height 45.7cm, width 76.2cmCondition: The sign has had several losses and areas of retouching, notably to the white enamel just below the arrow flight roughly 3cm square but has dribbled to the left, a 1cm spot below the 'T' in 'OUT', and some white filler on the second 'C' in 'PICCADILLY', loss to the enamel about 1cm long in bottom left hand corner, there are a number of black and blue streaks to enamel surface, discolouration lines to top, left hand side and bottom edges, a number of light surface scratches, scratches and spotting to bronze frame, See the London Transport Museum collection for a similar sign with arrow facing to the left, reference number 1997/1509, described as probably from Holborn station
