A LATE 18TH CENTURY FRENCH BOULLE MARQUETRY BRACKET CLOCK, ormolu figural surmount of Hercules wearing a lion skin, the tortoiseshell and ormolu mounted balloon shaped case with shell and fruit above the door and eagle with outstretched wings above Classical devices to the foot of the door and between the front legs, the circular embossed gilt dial with enamel white and blue Roman numerals and an enamel plaque below the dial 'HELYE A PARIS', the backplate engraved the same, the eight day movement with count wheel strike on a bell, with key, case key and pendulum, height 69.5cm (condition: left side panel has two cracks in the glass, brass inlay missing to left and right sides, gap between back door and interior base, other losses to timber and splits, ormolu surmount is loose, movement winds, heard and seen chiming)

Brevete S.G.D.G., the movement stamped 85402 FOT BTE with star, cartouche and anchor mark, the whole suspended on a gilt metal chain with wall fitting attached, height of clock only 37cm (condition: no key, no obvious damage, some wear to the gilt metal work in places)
