A group of four to Lieutenant Aleksandr Ivanovich Sedov, 283rd Independent Red Banner Motorized Battalion Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd class breast badge, reverse engraved '523071' with backplate, For Meritorious Service in Battle Medal, Medal for the Capture of Berlin, Medal for the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945, first with minor chips to enamel, very fine and better with research On 25th April 1945, during the crossing of a water barrier near the Niederlehme Silicate Factory, comrade Sedov led the activities of his company's drivers, which enabled the material to be in continuous operation. Despite enemy artillery and machine-gun fire he crossed the men and the weaponry of the infantry regiments of the 290th Rifle Division efficiently and in an organized manner. (4)
A Chelsea porcelain plate decorated with central floral sprays, the border decorated with exotic birds amongst foliage with gilted decoration CONDITION REPORTS There has been some restoration to the plate on one edge above the two bird decoration, otherwise has firing faults, surface scratches to the enamel, wear to the gilding, general wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for further details. Approx 24 cm in diameter
A Copeland & Garrett transfer decorated lidded tureen on plate, late 18th Century tea bowl decorated with a crescent, a 19th Century blue and white tea bowl with gilt highlights, a Chinese blue and white saucer with single character mark set within a double ring to base and two pairs of Japanese satsuma vases CONDITION REPORTS The lidded bowl has some areas of discolouration, signs of crazing, there are some chips to the glaze especially on the knop of the lid and chips to the saucer. Worcester style tea bowl has a small chip to the outside rim. Other tea bowl has wear to the gilding. Both pairs of satsuma style vases have cracks and all over crazing as well as minor chips etc. All items have general wear and tear to include wear to the enamel work and gilding etc - see images for further details
A circa 1800 Bilston enamel patch box inscribed to lid "May charms like thine be still my lot and love like my mine be ne'er forgot", together with another enamel box bearing label inscribed "B'ham circa 1770" CONDITION REPORTS The Bilston enamel patch box has a discoloured lid, there are cracks to the enamel all over and it has has some repairs visible to the inside, verdigris etc showing on the metal work, firing flaws etc. Approx 14 cm in length x 2.2 cm in height. The further box lid is discoloured in places, particularly where it is cracked and been repaired. The bottom is worn, some verdigris to the metal mounts. Approx 4,5 cm in diameter x 2,5 cm in height. A Kuznetsov porcelain cup and saucer bearing the Arms of Tsar Nicholas II, being a twin headed spread eagle with armorials and bearing marks of the Imperial Porcelain Factory circa 1896-1914 CONDITION REPORTS The saucer has a large chip in it to the rim which has a hairline crack protruding to the rim which has a hairline crack protruding from it, otherwise general wear and tear to include surface scratches, wear to the gilding and enamel work etc and in need of a good clean - see images for further details
A Japanese Meiji period satsuma ware koro on tripod base, a smaller bell shaped vase and cover, a small baluster shaped vase and a larger gourd-shaped vase and cover CONDITION REPORTS The koro has all over crazing, wear to the gilding especially to the finial, some minor chipping predominantly to the inside rim. Approx 18 cm in height total. The bell shaped vase and cover has all over crazing, wear to the gilding and paintwork, some minor chipping predominantly to the inside rim. Approx 6.5 cm in height. The baluster shaped vase has all over crazing, wear to the gilding and paintwork, this seems especially noticeable to the faces and heads. Approx 9.5 cm in height. The cover on the larger vase has been smashed and re-glued badly in varying places. Approx 37 cm. All over crazing, wear to the gilding and enamel work, all items have general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include some light surface scratching and are in need of a good clean etc
A collection of twelve various silver spoons, various dates, makers etc, two silver salts (one with Bristol blue liner) and a collection of eleven various silver/plated Collectors spoons, mainly with enamel decoration approx 14.5 oz not including Collectors spoons and an oak case of ivory handled knives
BAGPIPE PRIZE MEDALLIONS. (3) Pipe playing awards including. 1/Dundee Pipe Playing Association 1869 1st prize, unnamed reverse. 2/ Presented to W H Cox Snaigow for March Playing, R Nicholl Birnam 1896. 3/ In silver and enamel Scottish Industrial Musical Association, unnamed with hallmarks for Birmingham 1921.
FRAMED RAOB MEDALS. The first a silver and enamel with jewel eyes Midlands County Banner on the bars. Buffalo head centre with Handsworth Queens Lodge, Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes. The reverse inscribed, The Order of Merit was presented to Primo Wm Bate Oliver K O M, by the Brothers of No 2 Handsworth Lodge. In estimation of his services in the cause of Buffaloism and as a token of regard for him as a man. Sept 22nd 1898. Secondly Propoganda - Jewel bars on a red & white ribbon with Buffalo head centre. Inscribed on the reverse, Presented by the Royal Manor Lodge, Primo W A H SCrivens, for past valuable services Mar 14 1892. Thirdly a RAOB Jewel with 1st Dec: 9th May- G E B- 2nd Dec: 25th Aug 1924, bars. Jewel eyes centre with RAOB motto in the blue enamel scroll. Inscribed on the reverse, This Order of Merit and Honour of Knighthood was conferred upon Bro Sir A H R Parr, by The Claremont Lodge. As a mark of appreciation for his services in the cause of Buffaloism, and their regard for him as a man and brother, March 26th 1928 . All three hallmarked.
A CASED 9ct GOLD RAOB AWARD. An R A O Buffaloes 9ct Gold and Enamel award, weighing 21.4 grams. Top ribbon suspender and bar mount also marked 9ct. Engraved Nelson Lodge and 3825 on the bars, C W in the central boss. In a Charles Usher marked case with his initials stamped into each component.
