Qty 3 Pocket Watches in need of attention. The first is an LNER enamel faced Limit, rear of case engraved L.N.E.R. 4342. The second hand is missing and the face has chips at 10 and 4 o'clock. The second is an LMS Swiss Recta with second hand. The rear of the case is engraved L.M.S 12606. The third is a BR(M) Swiss Phoenix with second hand. Rear of case engraved BR(M) 21425. This one works for a while then stops.
BR(E) Enamel Sign, unflanged with British Railways Totem at the top, reads:- "Only Vehicles Over The Ferry Are Allowed On This Pier - No Vehicle Accepted Over 2 Tons Gross Weight". Measures 48" x 24". Reasonable condition with some chipping/loss. Nevertheless, a very rare, probably unique sign indeed.
British Railways Pocket Watch by Limit (No 2), Swiss Made. Face has the second hand in the lower half and bears the initials BR(W) and the number 03922. The rear case also engraved BR(W) and bears the same number. Small repair to enamel at 10 o'clock and between 4 and 5 o'clock, otherwise extremely good. In full working order.
BR(W) small enamel sign ' The Conditions upon which tickets, including season tickets, are issued, and the Conditions applicable to Passenger' luggage, etc., can be obtained free of charge on application to the Booking Clerk'. Measures 6" x 4" with cream lettering on a chocolate background. Just about mint condition with the slightest of marks around the boltholes.
London & North Western Railway 8" Oak Cased Fusee Clock by Joyce Whitchurch. Company initials across centre of dial, the clock has the original enamel plate on the right hand side numbered 5320. The case has been merely cleaned and waxed since acquisition. Ex Llandudno Junction Signal Box. In full working order.
A 12" mahogany cased fusee clock manufactured for the Eastern Region of British Railways circa 1948. The original white enamel dial displays B.R.(E) 14094, and the L.N.E.R. record cards show that this clock was located at Doncaster Yard Master and was sold by Collectors Corner on 10/10/1983, in good original working condition.
Southern Railway small enamel sign 'The Conditions upon which tickets, including season tickets, are issued, and the Conditions applicable to Passengers luggage, etc., can be obtained free of charge on application to the Booking Clerk'. Measures 9" x 6" and is virtually mint with the exception of a small area of loss around the bottom left bolthole. Originated from Horsebridge Station.
