Two Similar Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vases and Covers, Meiji, circa 1900, of compressed spherical shape, each with conforming covers with sphere finials, decorated with three registers of panels enclosing dragons, phoenix, shi-shi and other auspicious birds and animals and panels of stylised foliage, some enamels enriched with aventurine inclusions, upon three peg feet, {23cm high}; and A Chinese Cloisonne Box and Cover, of compressed circular form, worked with a dragon to the cover above waves, early 20th century, {12cm diameter} (3).
A Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase, Ando Jubei, designed by Kawade Shibataro, circa 1910, the domed cover with bulb finial over sixteen butterflies and moths, within a border of repeat petallate motifs, a similar collar to the shouldered vase, worked with two types of lily, both in flower and bud, amongst thistles against a lavender blue ground, on an outswept circular foot, the base worked with Ando circular mark centred by a gourd, {45.5cm high}.
