LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB; a rare 15ct gold and enamel decorated medal for the 1921-1922 League I Champions, awarded to J Asbury, vice-chairman, with name, title and Liverpool Football Club highlighted in blue enamel, with the detail picked out in blue enamel with central red and white striped shirt and with embossed detail verso, diameter 30mm, approx 20.5g, cased.The 1921-22 season was Liverpool's third League I Championship, beating Tottenham Hotspur to the title. CONDITION REPORT In gilt tooled blue leather case but the case itself is unascribed. Some very light surface scratches but enamel good and the medal also good.
LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB; a rare 15ct yellow gold and enamel decorated medal for the 1922-1923 Division I League Championship, awarded to J Asbury, Vice-Chairman, diameter 32mm, approx 22.7g, in gilt tooled Moroccan leather fitted case, inscribed to the interior 'Liverpool Association Football Club'.This was Liverpool's fourth League I Championship and they were also back-to-back champions. CONDITION REPORT Some light surface scratches and a couple of minute flaws to the enamel, but overall basically good, a few scuffs to the box.
