He was then a Time Keeper on July 21 st and 22 nd for the Athletics events held at the White City Stadium, likely the 200m heats and semi-finals.

A heater-shaped bronze harness pendant with gilding remaining on the suspension lug and upper portion of the shield, two lions passant (gardant?) with blue fill. 12.1 grams, 46mm (1 3/4"). From an old North Country collection; formed between 1970-2000. The arms appear at first to be a very early variant of the royal arms of England displaying two lions in place of the normal three, and executed in blue enamel on a gilded field instead of gilded (or) on a red (gules) field. They bear some relation to the royal arms of Denmark which similarly vary between two and three lions, but always in blue (azure) on a gilt (or) field and often with red lilies between. Fine condition.
