The arched ebony inlaid case with gilt brass sphinx terms to the canted corners, double gothic arch brass fretwork side grills, lion mask ring handles upon gilt brass ball fret, 21" high with original bracketDial - generally good, tiny chip to left winding hole and edge at 6 and 12.Movement - untested, does tick, strike and chime.Case - overall good, side moulding detached but there (as pic) split to inner dial slip, two splits to top veneer, both side arches with beading missing at top, small piece of veneer missing to right edge of front door and right side base projection.Bracket - generally good but with small loses to some moulding as pics.Updates:53cm high (clock)Winds and runs (no guarantee)Chimes although not tuneful – only chimes on the hour.Pull repeat cords operate.Rise and fall mechanism operating.Would benefit from a clock service and set-up.There are 12 hammers for the chiming mechanism and one hammer on the strike.

A George III sedan chair timepiece with Arabic white enamel convex dial, the movement signed J Richards, London. The brass bound mahogany case with brass bezel and hanger, 6" diameter Dial - 20mm long hairline crack at 12 Movement - untested, balance rotates freely. Case - outer brass band a little mishapened, glass scratched, brass tarnished. Update 6th Feb: Minute hand detached and loose beneath the glass.
A 19th century French Louis IV style gilt metal mantel clock, the white enamel convex Roman dial with Arabic five minutes, Marti drum movement with outside countwheel bell strike. The servres style porcelain inset case decorated with figures and portrait medallions, 19" high16cm depth, 46cm height, 25cm width.
BSA Lee Enfield L42 7.62 bolt action rifle, 28 inch heavy profile barrel, the action stamped XL42EI D70 over the original No.4T markings, the wrist joint stamped M47 England, 1943, TR together with the serial number AN7010 repeated on the bolt, the barrel stamped CR1470 D71 FB351, AM, along with an inspectors mark under the upper hand guard. The telescope fitted into Daglish mount numbered to the rifle (its original serial number crossed out) with a later added tin case dated 1983, stamped with maker mark C&P. The rifle is accompanied by an L42 chest with interior label dated 1971, inside is a sling, cleaning kit, L42 No.32 tool, and a MkII S four drawer telescope by H.B.M Co. in leather case.The rifle was bought as a barreled action with scope from Weller and Dufty auctions. The woodwork has been added by the vendor who has also procured the chest, telescope tin and accessories to complete the set. UK SECTION 1 FIREARMS LICENCE WITH 7.62 VARIATION OR RFD REQUIRED. The chest measures 31cm x 126cm. The rifle: The bore is in good order showing a small amount of wear from use in the first part of the barrel but a crisp bore towards the muzzle. There is no sign of pitting or damage. The crown is in good shape with only the slightest bit of corrosion that can be seen when studying through a magnifying glass. The action works correctly with a strong spring. the headspace is not known. The black paint finish is worn around the action and sight protectors. The woodwork was added by the Vendor, the origin of the woodwork is not known. Apart from a numberal 'I' to the forend and some faint traces of marks on the underside of the wrist, the woodwork is devoid of stamps. The brass butt plate is ill fitting, there is a drill mark above the top screw, see the additional image uploaded. There are no splits or repairs to the woodwork. The Scope: The scope presents a clear picture and adjusts for windage and elevation. The horizontal crosshair looks slightly loose or distorted, it is not dead straight in line. There is very slight clouding that can be seen when looking in at each lens however this does not appear to affect picture quality when sighting through. The enamel finish is worn and there is minor corrosion on the steel mounts. The elevation dial is stamped with a letter 'M' presumably for metres. See the additional images uploaded. The case. The wood box is structurally sound and useable. It has had some small working repairs as evidenced by the differing screw heads. There are also some vacant holes to the underside of the case from old screw heads. There are some chips and small losses to the pine cross struts. The paint finish shows signs of wear and use.
