A mid-20thC Mappin & Web lizard skin tanned handbag with brass clasp, together with a Vogue 'Vanities' compact with enamel decoration of an Arabian horseman the bag is scuffing and wear to corners with possible replacement zip, some wear to suede interior the clasp moves easily and holds securely the compact has crazing to to the front image (this actually looks more deliberate than crazing) there is a tiny piece of the image missing with the gilt metal showing through by the horse's front hooves, some wear to gilt metal powder cover not sitting completely flush - it does stay down under the catch but doesn't feel secure, needs new powder otherwise good condition
