Bicycle Pocket Watch. An embossed watch with a blue enamel and cream-decorated dial, comprising both a 12 and 24-hour segmentation, inscribed, Fortior. The rear dust cover delightfully etched with a tandem riding pair in a rural setting. A miniature bicycle chain acting as a waistcoat chain and 'T' bar. AF.
A circa 1904 Ladies Dursley Pedersen. A size B bicycle numbered 722. Finished in green enamel with nickel-plated up-turned handlebars with a lever-operated stirrup brake and cork grips, nickel-plated 26-inch Westwood rims and tyres, celluloid chain guard and a leather frame-fitted tool bag. The laced saddle appears to be original and a handlebars bell is fitted.
A c1885 Lloyd Brothers 'Quadrant No 15' Tandem Tricycle. A highly useable double-steered mixed-gender tricycle in excellent condition, finished in black enamel with complementary nickel-plated parts like the hooped handlebars with matching turned grips, steering control rods, seat supports and feet rests. The front steering wheel is 26-inch and the two driving wheels, via a Starley axle are 36-inches. Drive is via adjustable inch-pitch block chains, correctly fitted with protection guards. The nickel-plated 6-inch slotted cranks and rubber block pedals are matching, as are the saddles (modern covers) and the two luggage racks, which are later additions. A double-armed brake at the left side is within reach of, and capable of being applied, by both riders, and a rear jockey wheel prevents a backward fall. A bell and a lamp bracket are fitted. On test it would appear to be geared to 52-inch.
Royal Automobile Club of Victoria. Manufactured by Stoke & Sons of Melbourne and numbered 29558, this solid nickel badge possesses an enamelled Australian flag to the rear and an R.A.C.V. enamel badge to the front, some chipping. Also, an RAC full member's badge and a Rolls-Royce Enthusiast Club badge. (3)
A Donington Presentation Plaque inscribed 12-Hour Sports Car Race 1937, Winner – A. D. Bateman. Given by the Derby & District Motor Club, Impressed ‘silver’ verso, with its presentation box. Also, three assayed silver and enamel medals dated 1934, inscribed Bateman, each with their delivery boxes, and two RAC Rally lapel pins and a silver enamel tie pin with what appears to be the BRDC SCH Davis inspired racing car depiction centrally mounted, and other items. A Gitan Lightweight Bicycle, having a 22-inch frame finished in electric blue enamel with polished chromium-plated lugs, side-pull Strata braking, Campagnolo Paris Roubaux four-speed gearing with a rear fork mounted control, pneumatic pump and an 'Ideale' leather saddle, Berthet Lyotard pedals and 'Flamme' 15-inch drop handlebars.
Buckley Brothers of Forest Hill. With a 21-inch frame numbered 2107, this is an early 1930s bicycle, delightfully retaining what appears to be its original green enamel finish and the remains of original decals. The drive is via a Sturmey Archer three-speed hub dated 1947 with a lever selector on the 16-inch handlebars, unusual centre-pull TB brakes are fitted, as are rat-trap pedals, Wrights leather saddle, bottle carrier and unusual grey coloured Bluemels mudguards
A Gabriel Ducellier Bicycle Lamp. This large candle-powered lamp was designed to be used with high wheel tricycles of the late Victorian period. In fine condition, retaining its 'nut & bolt' sprung mounting bracket, diamond-style red and green side glasses, sprung candle tube, a 4¾-inch convex front glass and stout clips. With its original nickel-plating, the black enamel finish has been replaced in times past. 12-inches (30cm) high.
A Hirondelle Lady's Braced-loop Bicycle. A 20-inch black enamel frame with box lining, Rectro-Direct two speed gearing, semi-upturned 20-inch handlebars with the remains of original nickel-plated finish, 2-inch tyring on 26-inch wheels, original mudguards and colourful woven skirt- guard, and unusual Bowden cable-operated side-pull calliper braking.
