One of the teaspoons has a few very small losses to the silver gilt. The interior of the case is in a good condition, but the exterior has several knocks and rips to the fabric covering the box.

A rare Caughley jugcirca 1785-90of cabbage leaf form with mask-spout, Chamberlain's decorated, painted in sepia with an oval riverscape featuring a ruined tower and a church, with scattered 'Daffodil Group Painter' sprigs in blue enamel with gilded flowers to the rest of the body below a patterned gilt border, unmarked, 19cm highNotes: Caughley are known to have produced a number of different services which featured landscapes painted in underglaze blue, but an enamel sepia scene such as this is very rare. More than likely an imaginary scene, this finely painted picturesque view can be attributed to John Muchall who was the leading landscape artist at Chamberlain's decorating studio at the time.Literature: See Caughley in Colour Exhibition catalogue, 2005. Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, pgs. 19-20 for a discussion of Muchall’s work.Condition report: In a good, original condition with no damages or restorations. There are some slight areas of rubbing/wear to the gilding around the rim, most noticeably to the tip of the spout and a few further small sections to the interior of the upper rim. One branch of the gilded leaves to one side of the jug also has some further loss of the gilding, but not disfiguring. Beyond that, the painting is good and there are no obvious large scratches or areas of wear through the main sepia landscape panel, although there is one very small scratch to the right-hand side of the panel (approximately 0.3mm wide)The mask-head on the spout has three very small glaze manufacturing flaws. Overall, there are some areas of light speckling of kiln dust/grit. Please see additional images for all of the items above in closer detail.

Two unusual Staffordshire Greyhound groupsmid-19th centuryeach group modelled as two greyhounds lying intertwined on oval naturalistic mossy bases, single gilt line, 19cm high (2)Condition report: Group 1 (Grey greyhound lying on top of russet greyhound) - Firing crack running horizontally to the underside of the rim, approximately 13cm long. Lots of rubbing to the gilded line around the base. Losses of paint/general rubbing to the black claws of each dog, alongside the tips of the noses, eyes and whiskers. The darkened rear spine of the grey greyhound is heavily worn, but some of this is possibly an original mottling of the pattern on the dog's coat.Further sections of wear and rubbing to the green enamels on the base. The russet hound has several firing cracks to its rear-end, at the junction where the grey's paws meet the body. No damages or repairs.Group 2 (Russet greyhound lying on top of the grey greyhound) - Hairline crack running down the centre of the forehead and nose. Very similar enamel losses to the previous group, with wear to mostly the black decorated and the green base. Likewise, the gilding on the base is worn. There is one very small flake of missing glaze to the spine of the russet hound and a small dark grey patch of discolouration to its leading leg, with another by the tail. Overall, both groups would benefit from a good clean and there are some further patches of brown discolouration, which seem to come off easily with a damp cloth. No further damages to either group or any signs of restoration.
A Daum Nancy glass vase in the Fuchsia patterncirca 1900of rectangular sleeve cut form, painted and enamelled with scattered flowers and darkening to a deeper purple toward the base, signed to the body 'Daum Nancy' with Cross of Lorraine mark, 12cm highCondition report: There are no cracks, repairs or any further signs of polishing. There is some loss of the green to the leaves, most noticeable on one upper leaf and at the sections where the leaves cover the edges of the vase. One of the purple flowerheads also has some further slight scratches with areas of rubbing to the enamel. There are a few very small knocks to the edges and sides of the base, some of which are probably from manufacture. The leaf stem to one side of the vase two small sections of loss to the relief work. Minor gilt rubbing. The base has some general signs of scratching commensurate with age. Please see the additional images for the factors previously described.

A collection of Belleek "Shamrock and basket" decorated tea wares including two teapots, three cream jugs, two sugar bowls, jam pot, large jug, muffin dish, two sandwich plates, six cups and saucers, three side plates, together with two shell decorated pink ground cups and saucers CONDITION REPORTS Most pieces have the black double back stamp. One sandwich plate/cake plate has one handle off and missing. The other sounds dull but no crack/fracture evident. Loss to the enamel decoration on various pieces throughout. One teapot has staining to the interior. Items with a single black back stamp comprise muffin dish, three side plates, one saucer, one teapot and a milk jug. Another black back stamp different to the others - one tea cup. One milk jug and sugar bowl have green double back stamp. Four pink items have various back stamps - see image. A pair of 18th Century glass wines with plain bowls on white enamel twist stems, raised on a circular foot, both bearing labels to underside "123 years in 1903 C Laws", 15 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Both seem sound with no cracks or repairs, however, there are several areas of what appear to be firing or manufacturing faults including black marks to the base of Glass 1 which may be carbon or possibly later dirt. There are scuff marks conducive with age and use to the base and the top of the foot is dirty which may be covering some minor scuff marks. There is a firing or manufacturing fault to the foot in the form of a small bubble. Glass 2 - similar condition to Glass 1 with several small areas of manufacturing faults and dirt to the top of the foot but basically sound. See images for further detail.
