A Liberty & Co silver and enamel time piece, Birmingham 1911, the rectangular case with a circular dial within an enamelled wreath border, with swivel handle and raised on four bun feet, 7.5cm H (excluding handle) x 5cm W x 4cm D CONDITION REPORT: Some wear and nibbling to the enamelling around the dial, the whole piece is grubby and the piece would benefit from a good clean. The glass across the dial is missing, the dial has some discolouration to the centre. Clock appears to be ticking and running sporadically but does not keep time. back cover hinge appears to be fine and cover closes securely. Movement appears to be supported on a wooden block, unable to inspect movement in detail - please refer to the additional images on the-saleroom for further clarification especially regarding the condition of the enamel.
A George III Bilston enamel patch box, the cover with sentimental quote 'May charms like thine, be still my lot, and love like mine be ne'er forgot', above a pink base and mirrored interior, 4cm wide (at fault) CONDITION REPORT: The top with many cracks throughout, with some chips and grazes, largest chip to the top left corner. The base with cracks inside and out, four chips of varying size - one of which is a slight dent which has pushed inwards just under the metal rim and caused a chip on the inside. The mirror to the inside with age wear tarnishing.
Attributed to Christian Friedrich Zincke (German 1683/5 - 1767), Enamel miniature, Portrait of a gentleman in a blue coat with gold coloured waistcoat, 4.25cm x 3.5cm (4.75cm high not including the loop), In a later ebonised metal frame CONDITION REPORT: The frame is probably not original to the miniature and has general light age wear. The enamel surface is messy at the edges, a few small surface scratches and a blemish in the hair.
An early 19th century Bilston enamel box, the hinged cover decorated with a fighting cock in a landscape, 5.25cm CONDITION REPORT: The top has a couple of light surface scratches and a very slight crack to the bottom right corner. Underside of the lid with a couple of slight hair line cracks to one corner but nothing serious. Base with six small chips, general wear and grazing, the left hand side of the base with some cracks to enamel. Inside with a hair line star crack to the bottom, and general wear to the internal edge where it meets the metal mount.
A late George III Bilston enamel box 'Before Marriage / After Marriage', 5cm CONDITION REPORT: The top has just a few light surface scratches and a thin surface chip to the back edge - the underside of the lid with a few edge nicks and a slight crack (about 5mm) at the edge. The lid is either in good condition or colour for its age or a replacement. The base section has been glued back into the metal rim. There is a two tone powder blue and yellow patina to the surface. The underside of the base with scratches and rubbed and with old pen marks. There is a 1.25cm (approx) chip to the base on one of the pointed ends and a small hair line crack issuing from this.
Two Art Deco silver mounted guilloche enamelled glass dressing table jars, Walker & Hall, Birmimgham 1913, 6cm diameter, the other Birmingham 1933, each with blue enamelled covers, 6.5cm diameter (2) CONDITION REPORT: Would benefit from a good clean as both pieces are quite grubby. Marks are clear and legible. Both have some small knocks to the enamel on the sides - see the image. Surface scratching and wear to the enamelling and the silver throughout.
A Japanese cloisonne enamel vase and cover, with lavender coloured finial and decorated with two panels with dragons and birds, the enamelled base decorated with four flowers, 9cm CONDITION REPORT: Overall appearance is good. Exterior decoration is good. The cylindrical lined interior is tarnished and grubby but otherwise good.
A late 19th century French brass and cloisonne enamel carriage time piece, with Roman numeral dial and eight day movement, the case with fluted corner pilasters, 14.75cm H (measured with handle up) CONDITION REPORT: Glass to the front with a slight blemish to the top right corner, a small chip to the top left hand corner, the lass to the left hand side with a chip to the top right corner and a bruise to the bottom left corner. It does run when wound but we can not guarantee that it is in full working order. Case with minor wear.
