Diameter 22mm and weight 732g approx. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Stamped 18ct. One outer pearl broken with approx 1/3rd missing, one cracked. Otherwise condition is good overall.Shank appears replacement - may have been a locket.

LATE VICTORIAN OFFICER'S HOUSEHOLD CAVALRY HELMET together with breast and back plates, the helmet with red horse hair plume for the Blues and Royals Horse Guards Regiment, the helmet with enamelled garter plate with silver plated skull, chain link leather chin strap with fabric lining, together with steel and brass breast and back plates with lion's head mounts and hinged shoulder straps. The helmet 45cm high approx. (3)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Lining of helmet is very poor, some wear through plating with dents and dinks to the skull, breast and back plates have tarnishing and adhered horse hair apparently. The enamel of the badge is in good condition with no obvious damage. In well used condition. Noticeable dinks and dents in places. Rips to fabric lining of helmet. Items tarnished/rusted overall. Strap on helmet worn.

Marked: 'Made in Japan' to its base. 55cm high. Together with a pair of similar Champlevé enamel bronze vases, overall decorated with birds and foliage in a similar style. 36cm high.
