Pair of London Transport coach stop enamel E-PLATES for Green Line route 704, one for each direction and destinated London Airport, Slough, Windsor and Bromley, Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells respectively. The former were located between New Cross & Turnham Green and the latter between Gunnersbury and New Cross, so this pair could both have been located in New Cross. Both are in very good, ex-use condition with just minor blemishes. [2]
1920s/30s Underground Group enamel HEADER PLATE 'TRAMWAYS'. Would have been located on a timetable etc poster board for the London United, Metropolitan Electric or South Metropolitan tramway companies. Features the early 'Johnston' 'W' and measures 16" x 4" (40cm x 10cm). In good, ex-use condition with small enamel losses at two corners and a little corrosion at the edges. A most uncommon survivor. Assortment (5) of early London underground railways CAP BADGES comprising a pair for Driver and Conductor, numbered, thought to be London Electric Railway (provenance of driver example uncertain), a pair of numbered Ticket Inspector badges, one for Met & LNE, the other for M & GW (both are a little bent and have suffered from losses of laurel leaves and enamel inlays) plus a District Railway Inspector's badge (title scroll missing, minor damage). London Underground enamel PLATFORM ROUNDEL from Bank Station on the Central and Northern Lines. This is the smaller-size sign, from the track-side, measuring 24" (61cm) across by 19.5" (50cm) high, c1980s, in three parts plus alloy frame. A little chipping to the l/h edges of the bar, partly hidden, in other respects in excellent, ex-use condition. [3 parts + frame]
Assortment (5) of British Rail & London Underground SIGNAL SIGNS comprising a BR enamel HOME SIGNAL ARM marked 'N E Ltd BR' and a BR semi-automatic signal enamel ID PLATE plus London Underground items: enamel FOG REPEATER surround/id panel and 2 x signal ID PLATES, one enamel, one painted aluminium. Bar one item, in good to very good, ex-use condition. [5]
London Transport bus stop enamel Q-PLATE 'Queue this side for 15, 23, 25, Queue other side for 10, 40A'. An interesting central-London plate that would have been located at Aldgate where these routes briefly met. The other side of this pair was sold in our last auction. In very good, ex-use condition, just minor blemishes. [1]
Enamel on brass CAP BADGE for a City Bus (Coach) Company driver or conductor. City started in 1923 as an independent London bus operator, best known for its route 536 from Highgate to Catford. After takeover by LPTB in 1934, it became a coach company, based in Brentwood, and best known for its Wood Green to Southend service, later Eastern National service 251. The company ceased operations in 1953. In good, used condition with light scratching. [1]

All in very good, ex-use condition. [6]
British Railways (Southern Region) enamel PLATFORM SIGN 'Waiting and Ladies Rooms'. A double-sided, fully flanged sign with hanging 'eyes' (one missing) for suspension from under the platform canopy. Measures 48" x 12" (122cm x 31cm). A small dent with enamel loss at one end, otherwise just minor blemishes and generally in very good condition. [1]
Pair of London Underground ENAMEL SIGNS comprising a flanged sign 'Staff Canteen, Booking On Centre' with directional arrows, probably from a training centre (16" x 20" - 41cm x 51cm, in very good condition, minor blemishes) and a station sign 'All tickets to be shown at the barrier please' (22.5" x 16" - 57cm x 41cm, in poor condition with losses and other damage). Pair of London Transport coach stop enamel E-PLATES comprising route 706 destinated Chelsham and route 708 destinated East Grinstead. The former were located between Thornton Heath and South Croydon, the latter in Caterham and Godstone but a sole pair of each was also noted in Pimlico so these two could both have been located there. In good to very good, ex-use condition. [2]
Pair of London Transport bus stop enamel E-PLATES comprising route 168 Horseguards [sic] Ave (probably would have been located on the Embankment for short-terminating buses) and route 178 destinated Special Journeys Only, Woolwich (location unknown, all journeys went to Woolwich!) which, in 1980, would have been one of the last e-plates made. The former has some weathering from a long period in situ, the latter is in very good condition. [2]
Quantity (29) of small London Transport Underground & bus SIGNS & PLATES, all bar one are enamel. Includes various Underground station door & cupboard signs etc plus a perspex RF bus 'Pay as you enter' plate and a bus stop fare stage enamel plate. Most appear to be unused and all are in very good to excellent condition. [29]
Southern Railway indicator board ENAMEL PLATE 'Clapham Junc' (Clapham Junction), probably from the departures board at Waterloo. Measures 17" x 2.5" (43cm x 6cm), comes with an original wooden tumbler (replacement screws) and is in good, ex-use condition with a few small chips at the edges/screw-holes. [1]
Southern Railway indicator board ENAMEL PLATE 'Petworth', probably from the departures board at either Victoria or Waterloo. Petworth station, on the former LB&SCR Pulborough to Midhurst branch line, closed to passengers in 1955. Measures 17" x 2.5" (43cm x 6cm) and is in good, ex-use condition with a few small chips at the edges/screw-holes. [1]

London Underground 38-Tube Stock enamel CAB DESTINATION PLATE for Bushey Heath / Finchley Cen on the Northern Line. Bushey Heath would have been the new northern terminus of the line had the extension proposed before WW2 taken place but this was abandoned with the introduction of the Green Belt. A double-sided plate with brass ends. In very good, ex-use condition. [1]
City of Liverpool COAT OF ARMS BADGE from a Liverpool Corporation bus, eg a 'tin front' AEC Regent V or a Leyland Atlantean. Finished in chrome with enamel inlays, the shield depicts Neptune and a Triton together with two 'Liver Birds' (actually cormorants) with seaweed in their beaks and the Latin motto which translates as "God has bestowed these blessings on us". Measures 6" x 6.5" (15cm x 16cm) and is in ex-use condition with some weathering to the chrome, light scratches and very small losses of enamel. [1]
1930s London Underground enamel PLATFORM BULLSEYE SIGN from Ealing Common station on the District and Piccadilly lines. Probably dates from the 1931 rebuilding of the station, designed by Charles Holden. A 3-part sign measuring 59" x 41" (151cm x 105cm) in total. In good, ex-use condition with minor weathering, surface scratches and other small blemishes. [3 parts]
London Underground enamel PLATFORM SIGN from King's Cross St Pancras Station, the Underground's most-used station, served by 6 lines. The name-bar from a bullseye or roundel. Measures 49.5" x 9" (125cm x 23cm). Some small chips and blemishes, mainly at the edges & corners, but generally in very good ex-use condition. [1]
London Underground enamel DESTINATION PLATE for High Street / Putney Bridge on the District Line. This is the older and slightly longer style of plate without chain-holes, designed to slot into runners on the outside of the car and may possibly date from the earlier-designated K and L Stock of 1927-31. Double-sided with steel ends which have the initials of the destinations stamped on them. In good, ex-use condition. [1]
Pair of railway MEDALS/BADGES comprising a Great Western Railway (GWR) 25 years First Aid Efficiency 9ct gold & enamel medal issued to employee 1115 William Martin in 1941 with silver & enamel '30 years' bar PLUS a Southern Railway Steward's lapel badge no 11 in enamel on nickel-silver. The former is in excellent condition, the latter in very good, ex-use condition. [2]
Pair of 1950s/60s double-sided, flanged, enamel BUS STOP FLAGS, the first for Aldershot & District, the second for Thames Valley. The former measures 12" x 12.5" (31cm x 32cm) and the latter 16" x 15" (41cm x 38cm). Both are in ex-use condition with small areas of damage, the latter is weathered on one side. [2]
Trio of double-sided BUS STOP FLAGS: an enamel 'Bus Stop - Fare Stage', thought to be ex-City of Oxford Motor Services (19" x 12" - 48cm x 31cm - very weathered on one side with some restoration), an enamel 'Bus Stop', thought to be from the Worthing area (13" x 10" - 33cm x 25 cm - generally in very good condition) and a perspex flag from Salzburg, Austria with an alloy underhang with the name of the stop - 'Nissenstr' (in very good, ex-use condition). London (Croydon) Tramlink ENAMEL SIGN plus CAR ROUTE DIAGRAM. The sign measures 40cm x 30cm (16" x 12")and features the TfL green & blue roundel for tram services. The car diagram is on thick, laminated card, dated 7/2012 and measures 122cm x 28cm (48" x 11"). Most uncommon items, both are in excellent condition. [2]
British Railways (Southern Region) enamel PLATFORM TOTEM SIGN from Guildford station on the former L&SWR line from London to Portsmouth. A fully-flanged example in the lighter shade of green, measuring the standard 36" (92cm) across and in very good condition with just a few small chips at the edges. [1]
Two pairs of London Underground enamel 'HALF-MOONS' from platform bullseye or roundel signs. One pair is 1930s/40s vintage with the black lining out, each piece measures 38.5" x 14.5" (98cm x 37cm), and the other pair is c1980s or later, each piece measures 33" x 14" (84cm x 36cm). Both pairs are in good, ex-use condition with just small blemishes. [2 pairs]
Eastern Counties & Royal Blue ENAMEL SIGNS comprising a pair of 1950s-60s Eastern Counties Omnibus Co Ltd HEADER PLATES from timetable boards, measuring 20" x 3.5" (51cm x 9cm), both in very good, ex-use condition, plus a Royal Blue COACH STOP FLAG measuring 13" x 10.5" (33cm x 25cm) in ex-use condition with damage along one edge and a National Express sticker on one side. London Underground BRASS FRAME + 2 matching enamel 'HALF-MOONS' for a platform roundel sign. The bar of the frame measures 44" x 8" (111cm x 20cm) and the overall maximum height is 35" (92cm). This will accept a name-bar measuring 42.5" x 6.5" (108cm x 16.5cm). Some small blemishes and touched-in areas to the half-moons but overall in good, ex-use condition. [3 parts]
