A silver triple cased key-wound open-face pocket watch created for the Ottoman market, the fusee verge movement with scroll-pierced pillars, signed and numbered 9602, the white enamel dial with Turkish numerals, inner case with hallmarks for London 1775 contained within a similarly hallmarked outer case and a tortoiseshell covered case, the watch contained in a further outer carrying case embossed with flowers and foliage.
OF JACOBITE INTEREST A carved wooden and ivory inlaid box of shaped outline, the lift-off lid inset with a polychrome enamel miniature of possibly Bonnie Prince Charlie, the sides and lid decorated with cannons, figures, flowers and animals, the back inset with bone panel depicting a castle, the lid interior decorated with a figure holding two hearts, 9 cm wide, some damage.
