The finish is generally dull with very little remaining gloss, however some of this maybe able to be brought back. There are also two rust holes all the way through on the main body of the sign. A late 19th century brass clock garniture, with champlevé enamel floral decoration, the clock having a 6.5 cm diameter dial with Arabic numerals, fitted an eight day movement, 28 cm high, with matching candlesticks, 18.5 cm high (3) See illustration Condition report With pendulum. Report by RB From a local private client, who has moved into a home. The clock: the case is generally in good condition, but is a little bent/warped in parts, but this does not really seem to have effected the enamel decoration. The top (larger) finial doesn't perfectly match the other four, the feet are a little bent, and there is one screw missing from the back of the case (although it would appear to have been missing for sometime due to the brasso build up in the hole), the movement is stamped MADE IN FRANCE, 2900 3, and indistinctly stamped ILLE D'ARGENT (?). The candlesticks: both slightly misshapen and a little loose, with one sconce rim quite bent, but again the enamel seems to have survived reasonably well from this damage. Overall attractive, but not the highest quality champleve enamel.
