A Nailsea glass pipe with white enamel on a cranberry ground together with a Turkish glass candlestick and a pipe CONDITION REPORTS Pipe appears to be generally in good order with some signs of dirt in minor firing faults in creases of the pipe - see images. Some minor chips and fritting to the rim of the bowl, almost invisible to the naked eye but rough feeling to touch. No major breaks. Candlestick with chipping to the top rim, paintwork basically sound though with some areas of wear and tear conducive with age and use. Base with one large fingernail size chip and five smaller chips. Pipe mouthpiece with large chip, almost half end missing. Metalwork basically sound but loose and with gilding worn. Velvet centre section worn. Terracotta bowl with two large chips and paint marks. Chain broken to the bowl end and with oxidization and paint marks
A late 19th Century North Country oak and mahogany banded long case clock with swan neck pediment above the brass dial with steel chapter ring with Roman numerals, marked "Thomas Boulton", the spandrels with applied moulded decoration of cherubs holding aloft a crown CONDITION REPORTS The case itself has knocks, chips, bruising etc throughout and several cracks to the veneer. The pendulum and one weight are present. There are some gaps along the wood/veneer joins. The dial width is approx 27.5 cm, surface scratching etc to the dial. The black enamel has had some re-painting in various areas and there is some corrosion to the steel dial as well as pitting to the dial itself.
