A LARGE CHINESE DAOGUANG FAMILLE VERTE ENAMEL PORCELAIN JAR, the body decorated finely with scenes of goats on hillside, and 12 immortals within an open garden building, surrounded by native foliage, flora and butterflies, the lower section with a turquoise ground scrolling vine border with panels of flora displays, 43.5cm high x 25cm wide.
A FINE PAIR OF JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD GOLD LACQUER & SHIBAYAMA VASES, the body of the vases finely decorated with a gold lacquer decorated ground, the vases with moulded body form, each inset with a silver set shibayama panel, each panel inlaid using various carved semi precious stones, shell and stained ivory to depict displays of native flora and birds, one of the panels on each vase signed to an inlaid mother of pearl tablet, the vases mounted in solid silver and further decorated with finely painted enamel depicting flora in formal style, the bases to each vase with an inset gilt signature tablet, the pair of vases complete in their original tomobako, the vases measuring 21.5cm high x 9cm wide.
WW1 period Royal Naval deck officer’s stopwatch, nickel silver case with white enamel dial having Arabic numbers and subsidiary dial. Lever starting mechanism to side of case. Admiralty type broad arrow to the reverse and “PATT 3 136825”. Used by deck officers to time torpedo attacks and anti-submarine operations etc. Appears to be in working order.
HMS Victory Lord Nelson oval enamel patch box, 19th century, 1.75” hinged lid painted with depiction of HMS Victory within a laurel wreath, and legend ‘At Nelsons death a Glorious Conqueft’, brass rim with traces of gilding, inside of lid fitted with mirror (cracked), predominant colours of dark blue and lilac. An Antique unmarked gold royal blue enamel and diamond cluster oval pendant / brooch, central engine turned guilloche enamel panel with diamond cluster centre and diamond border, total diamond content over 3cts, brooch length 32.5mm, 8.4gCondition Report: Extremely good condition, all stones present and are very well matched, no obvious major chips or cracks, all stones are bright, relatively white and fiery with only a few extremely small black spot inclusions seen through a loupe, facet faces are clean and facet edges are sharp with only a few tiny abrasions visible through a loupe, no damage to enamel, settings are in good condition with only a few minor surface scratches from general use, folding pendant loop is working, plates for the brooch fitting are possibly replacement as very minor evidence of solder is visible, but fitting is attached to a very good standard, a very nice piece of jewellery.
