A mid-late 19th century Swiss yellow metal blue enamel and painted enamel decorated landscape brooch, centered with a rectangular plaque depicting a bridge over a river in foreground with snow-capped mountains beyond, the open work border with interspaced fine panels of blue enamel, unmarked, length 6cm, width 5cm, approx 17.4g.Additional InformationAs mentioned, the brooch is unmarked, the central enamel plaque has very minor surface scratches but is presented in good condition, there is a minute area of loss to the blue enamel to the top of the right hand looped section, by the side of the landscape. On the back of the brooch there are three minute spots to the corners with possible repair, but this is being ultra-critical. There appear to be two scratched initials to the back of the plaque, possibly 'AL', the pin is bent and the frame is very slightly misshaped.

The pin is slightly misshaped but the enamel is in good condition and overall in good order. In reference to the diamonds, they are too small grade but they sparkle well and on the whole face up nicely.

There is only one indistinct mark. The pin is slightly misshaped.

Basically in good order. Light surface surface wear to both.

Sir A.V.Carr, Patience Lodge, 25th Feb 1953, the gold example on a simple silk ribbon with 9ct mounts, the silver gilt example on a silk sash with base metal mounts, the gold medallion approx 19.8g, the silver example approx 19g.Additional InformationThe tip of one of the horns of the buffalo on the gold example is broken and missing, otherwise enamel in good condition and as mentioned, the upper and lower mounts to the silk ribbon are stamped 9ct, the silver gilt example is basically in good condition, with light wear and also retains and retailer's logo for Simpson (lon) Masonic Jewellers.

Only part of the movement is visible, so we cannot give an accurate assessment as to the number of jewels.

The cover is a replaced perspex cover and is scratched, a few marks to the dial.
