A George III oak and mahogany crossbanded longcase clock, late 18th century, the ogive cornice and plain frieze over a square glazed door flanked by reeded brass capped pilasters and enclosing a 13.5" white painted enamel dial with arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds and date dial and marked 'Thomas Haywood, Northwich', painted flowers in the corners, eight-day movement striking on a bell, above a full length trunk door with concave top corners flanked by fluted quarter pilasters over an ogive moulding and bevelled base board between canted angles and raised on shaped bracket feet, distressed, 84.5" high.
