A Robin of Paris - mid-19th century French gilt brass mantel clock, the signed white enamel dial with Roman numerals, having twin winding holes for a brass eight day cylinder movement with outside countwheel and striking on a bell, the case having a centre pedestal urn issuing flowers and fruiting vines, flanked to either side by musical cherubs, the dial flanked by twin Sevres style painted porcelain panels, the whole raised upon six turned feet, h.58cm, w.60cm Condition Report / Extra Information Dial excellent. Glass excellent. Porcelain panels good, approx. 1% gilt loss only. Case good, no apparent breaks of losses. Gilding good and appears original. Clock is very heavy. Overall excellent example.

The Glasgow Herald of April 20th 1915 mentions the match between Celtic and eleven players representing the other clubs in Scottish First League Football to be played at Hampden Park.

A late 19c French mantel timepiece in waisted Rococo case with boullework front of cut brass and tortoiseshell mounted with gilt cast mounts and surmounted by a gilt cast leaf finial. The sides and rear of the case are ebonised. The movement has a 3.5 cream enamel convex dial with Arabic numerals with swags between and fancy gilt hands. The single train movement has a lever platform escapement, 11.75 tall overall.
A late 19c French carriage clock with two train movement with silvered platform escapement and striking on a gong. The rectangular white enamel dial has Roman numerals and is contained in a glazed brass case with fluted columns to the corners with Corinthian capitals and with a cast brass Greek key style carrying handle, 7.25 tall overall (handle raised).
A silver pair cased pocket watch with unsigned verge movement with finely chased and pierced balance cock and circular gunbarrel pillars. The cream enamel dial has Roman numerals and gilt hands and is contained in silver pair cases hallmarked for Birmingham 1828. The watch sits in an angled metal fronted watch stand covered in Morocco and velvet lined internally, the outer case is 4square and the watch 2diam.
