Berthoud, Paris, late 19th century, the eight-day circular countwheel bell striking movement bearing an engraved signature Fd. Berthoud, AParis to backplate, the circular white enamel Arabic numeral convex dial with scroll cast gilt hands within glazed hinged engine-turned bezel, the case with urn surmount above brass drum movement housing applied with laurel cast apron to lower margin, supported on demi-lune four-column portico base with brass pineapple finials and foliate cast insert to skirt, on engine-turned disc feet (lacking pendulum), 41cm high.

A fine quality pair of 19th century French ormolu mounted porcelain vases on stands. The bodies painted with oval scenes of Continental harbour scenes surrounded by enamel jewels on silvered ground with gilt scrollwork, with scrolling ormolu handles and mounts, and supported on squared pedestal feet with gilt wood plinths. The bases impressed 'MJ'. 30 cm high.
